Hope's POV
I jolt awake from a very disturbing dream. I must've passed out. I've been trying to fix the ascendant for hours, and no matter what I do, I can't fix it. I'm drained and tired, I need to take a step back and rest, then I'll come back. I won't be able to do the Saltzman any good if I pass out from exhaustion. Freya should be arriving anytime soon. I head to my room and when I get there I see Freya and Keelin along with Nik inside. I immediately surge forward and engulf Freya in a big hug. "Hey. What's wrong?" Freya pulls back to cup my face. I see Keelin put Nik down on the bed and move closer with a worried expression.
"I had a dream last night that Josie was hurt and I-I couldn't save her." I say, tears forming in my eyes. Freya wipes away my tears and is quick to reassure me."Hope listen to me we will get Josie back. You will get her back, and we'll be there to help you, we won't stop until we do." Freya states firmly, Keelin nods along to what her wife is saying.
"I have no idea how to bring the Saltzmans back." I say, frantic.
"Hope, sweetie, I know... I know you feel like you have to fix this..." Keelin tries to calm me down but I interrupt her.
"Because I do! If I don't bring them back, no one else will. If I could just talk to them..." That's when it hits me "Unless..." Astral projection. Freya seems to arrive at the same conclusion as me and immediately tries to talk me out of it, while Keelin stares at us confused.
"That's not an option. Astral projection into a prison world is dangerous... Look, I know you feel like this is all on you, but you're not alone. You have us. We'll figure it out.""But aunt Freya, she might be in danger! I need to help her, I need to save her." I say desperate. I need her back, I don't think I can handle losing someone else I love.
"Hope we know that you feel like this is all on you, like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. But it isn't." Keelin says. Nik begins to fuss, and she leaves the room to take care of him, giving me and Freya spaces to talk with no interruptions, but not before squeezing my shoulder and giving Freya a look that I can only assume to mean "talk to her, and don't let her do anything stupid" Once Keelin closes the door Freya continues.
"You were forced to grow up so quickly in order to save your family, and you were alone. And we're sorry for that. But you aren't alone now. You have to stop putting yourself at risk and pushing people away. You have to let us help you find another way." Freya pleads.I try to protest more but before I could speak, Freya continues talking.
"We know how much Josie means to you. She means a lot to us too. As far as I'm concerned she's a Mikaelson. She's family. We're all a family and we made a vow to love and protect each other, Always and Forever, Josie is now a part of that vow. And we will stop at nothing until we get her back." Freya says holding Hope's face making sure she got the message. "You need to get some rest. While I try to find a way to our problem. Astral projection is a last resort." she states firmly leaving no room for argument. I sigh defeated and nod my head. Just then a knock is heard and Landon peaks through the door and ai gesture for him to come in.
"Am I disturbing something?" he asks."No, not at all. I'll leave you two to talk. I have to go find my wife." Freya says as she heads for the door. "Get some rest, Hope. Keelin, Nik, and I will be at the library, researching." she leaves the room. Hope turns her attention to Landon. "Do you need something?"
"I actually came to tell you that Dorian said that the Golden arrow from the armory is missing, you know the one that was on the prophecy" he says. I nod
"I know you are busy looking for a way to get the Saltzmans back and I wanted to help get some things off your shoulder, me and the boys are going to go out and look for it, if that's okay?" he asks unsure. He learned his lesson from the Cupid incident and makes sure to alert me with any new information.
"No don't go. It's not safe, let Mg, Jed, and Kaleb do it. You stay here." I state."But this was my idea. I want to help too." he protests like a child.
"I know you do, Landon. But you could be the "hero that rises" for all we know and you being out there could be a risk" I say.
"We're not even sure it's me. It could be Wade for all we know, he's the one with actual wings." he tries to reason.
"Please Landon. I don't need any more problems getting stacked on top of each other. That's the last thing I need. " I say calm but desperate. Landon falters.
"I- okay. I'll stay here and help your aunt with research I guess." "Thank you." he gives me a smile and heads for the door.
"I'll let you rest. And I'll tell the others about the plan." when he leaves and flop onto my bed. I'm extremely tired, so after a few minutes in bed, I slowly fall asleep. Josie in the forefront of my mind.
