Brooke's POV
After Twobit was finished nagging on me about walking by my lonesome last night, Skye and I entered the high school. There wasn't anything new. Just normal soc glares, and weird looks from other people. Just about everyone heard what was wrote in the bathroom a little while back, so it was no secret we were 'nasty sluts'.

"I'll meet ya at lunch?" I ask Skye.

"You know it" she flashes the same goofy grin as her brother before we parted separate ways.

As I'm sitting in class, I think about last night. No, not about the pillow fight and the fun with Skye...the part where Dal cursed at me. I sighed and looked out the window.

Ringggg

The bell went off. Finally I thought as I waisted no time grabbing my things and heading out.

I met with Skye in the hall before walking outside to the bleachers, where all the boys were already munching on their lunches.

"Hey, Pony" I sit beside him on the bleachers.

"Hey" he smiles "how was geography?" He asks.

I shrug. "Okay I guess. Mrs. Simon is a bitch. She gave me trouble for sharpening my pencil while she was talking" I shook my head and raised my brow.

"Please, that ain't bad. One time she sent me to the office just for throwing a note" Skye said unbelievably.

"You both are nuts" Steve laughed and shook his head. I saw Skye look up at him and pull off a real smile. I don't mean one of those ones where you force it, I mean a real, simple smile.

"Dal know I'm driving you home?" Twobit asked as we all walked over to his car, now that school was over for the day.

"Ya, I'm sure he knows" I shrug. Truth is, I didn't know, and quite frankly didn't care if he didn't.

We all piled into his car as we drove to the Curtis' house. Skye and I kept making funny faces at Twobit, who was driving, just for shits and giggles. Besides, it was fun to let loose instead of worrying about the rumble.

When we got to our destination, we all piled out. "Damn. My ass is numb from this car" I groaned when I got out.

"Your free to walk next time" Twobit shrugged.

"Nah, is okay" I reply.

Skye and I sat down on the couch as soon as we stepped inside. Man, you never know how exhausting a day of soc glares and hate can be, until you experience it yourself.

Soda and Steve were still at work, Darry as well. And Dal...well, who knows.

After a while of small talk, and the boys playing cards, the door was swung open. We all looked over to see Dal. He looked pissed. Here we go I mentally groan.

"Look what the cat drug in" Twobit laughs from the table.

Dal ignores him as he looks to me "Where the hell'd you go last night?"

"Out"

"Ya, no shit! Where?" He asks, getting frustrated.

"I just went to Skye's. Jeez, calm down there" I say.

"Don't tell me to calm down, after you leave at night, nobody with you, and don't come back!" he says. I just stare at him.

"Well I thought that's what you wanted after you told me to get the fuck out...remember?" I say. He stood there, quiet for a second.

"Regardless, do you wanna get jumped?..huh!? Because that's what could have happened" He said. I got up off the sofa, and went outside, in the fear of starting to cry.

I sat against the side of house, hoping nobody would come out and see me crying.
