Chapter 38 - Old Teammates

At the airfield near Alia Castle...

Blitz got awkward as Skyler hugged him but then.

"you stupid angel.." as he hugged his partner.

And she felt he kissed her at her forehead.

"Sky... It's kinda awkward since we're in the airfield." Blitz scolded her.

"Oh sorry!" Sky as she stepped backwards as she moved at the side.

"Oiii Kazami!" As one Arcadian soldier walked toward him as he walked toward him.

"Is that you?! Gerald?!" Blitz as he walked toward him. And then.

And Sky felt that their both aura suddenly changed as she stepped back a bit more as she moved away from him.

"Eh?" She grunted

"Well, well, well looks like you got the hand of Milady herself!" As he looked at Skyler watching them and then.

The Arcadian soldier suddenly draws out his rifle as he quickly fired several shots to Blitz as the gun crackled like thunder.

"BLITZ!" Skyler yelled upon seeing the Arcadian soldier fired at him.

"Sky! Get behind me!" Blitz shouted as she quickly went behind him.

Nevertheless..

In return, Blitz removes Inferno from the vambrace as he quickly brandishes it on his right hand and he raises his guard followed by whistles and the sound of screeching metal.

To their surprise Blitz deflects the bullets that zooms toward him as the blade of Inferno glows for a bit as he executed several slashes in quick succession including he spun around as he cuts a bullet toward his chest as sparks flew past him as the bullets are sliced in half as it quickly fell to the ground behind him..

As Skyler's got surprised as she saw the sparks flew past by as she nearly sees the bullets whirred past him.

Leaving several guards around them watched in awe as they commented.
Also the others around them.

"HOW DID HE DO THAT?!"

"WHAT?!"

"You didn't tell us that you can deflect bullets, Blitz!" Joshua commented as he was surprised, seeing the bullets turned into sparks.

"Yooooo, I didn't know Blitz was that skilled!" Rey commented as his hands places on his both ears.

"Not fair!" As the helmet of the Arcadian soldier folds down revealing his black hair and brown eyes and a scar runs below his left eye.

Making Blitz surrounded by smoldering small chunks of bullets on the ground around him with his sword in front of him in a defensive style.

"This is how you greet your former comrade? Spectre?" Blitz as he lowers his sword as he lowered his guard, greeting his old friend by its callsign.

"Well.. looks like I lost to you... Nightshade." As the Arcadian soldier and Blitz stows away their both weapons on their backs as the two men approached each other as they both shook hands.

Upon hearing that, Skyler's eyes widened as she heard his callsign for the first time.

Nightshade?.... that's his callsign during his Arcadian service?? 

"You're always the same Spectre."

"Can't believe it was you who Lady Skyler handpicked as a bodyguard..."

"Heh.."

And Skyler approached the two as she's behind her boyfriend.

"Ah... Milady!, So the news was right!, You picked Kazami as your bodyguard!"
