"I didn't know a thing about him, I only knew that when he kissed me I felt alive again and my whole world became something different. It was heaven and hell brought together in my head. My own secret world. And I would burn there."

🦋Confused I watched my sister excitedly twirl in the middle of the room her eyes shining with happiness, my heart squeezed at the sight a little smile tugging my lips apart..
She should have been back from school an hour before now but I didn't have it in me to reprimand her especially since father was luckily not home yet.
"Za what is it?" I pat her hair and smoothened the dreads out of her glowing face once she lay down on my outstretched legs her uniform rumpled from all the extra twirling.
"I got asked outttt" she squeeled, her eyes wide and bubbly, "Oh Zuri I'm so happy, I mean I've had a crush on him for so long and just like that" she snaps her dainty fingers, "he asked me out."
Nodding my head at her words I tried to feign interest in direction the conversation was headed, not really getting her excitement but not wanting to dampen her mood I askedher the question I knew she was dying to hear.
"What's he like?"
"Oh Zuri he's perfect" she breathed her eyes shining bright in wonder, "I mean he's tall, athletic, loves to read since he's always right there with me at the library and you won't believe it, he's actually part Nigerian and speaks Igbo so fluently."
I smiled at her enthusiasm.
"But you don't even understand Igbo Za"
"It doesn't matter" she sighed, her eyes already having a faraway look, "we were practically made for each other" she sighed, her eyes holding a faraway look, "oh Zuri I think I could love him."
I scrunched my nose at that, "What's his name anyways."
She turned to me, her chocolate eyes sparkling with pure joy.
"Johnathan Efron" she sighed, "and I couldn't be happier, I mean he could gave any girl he wanted and he chose me."
I frowned at that.
"Any guy should be glad to have you."
She sighed at that, her eyes faraway.
"Sometimes I wish I could believe that Zuri" she turned to me, her gorgeous eyes shining with tears, "but with Johnathan I think I'm starting to see life a bit clearer now"
She flashed me a smile that spoke volumes.
"Are you happy Za?" I asked the same question she always asked me when we were little and I had my episodes, "please be happy"
This time she smiled a big genuine smile.
"Yeah Zuri, Johnathan makes more than happy than I've ever been"
With a sigh I ground my teeth and slammed my locker shut startling Poppy a little.
"Woah girl, what's wrong." Poppy asked, holding her chest, "you almost gave me a heart attack there."
Rolling my eyes at her dramatics I made to head for class when a voice called my way over the busy hallway.
"Zuri, wait up" Johnathan appeared seconds later, a huge smile on his stupid face that made me want to peel off his precious skin with shards of broken glass.
It was really hard to believe someone like him thought he could play my sister and get away with it.
"Hey, what's up" I kept my voice neutral while Poppy just stared at him like a love struck fan.
