"Y/n, five minutes till curtain." your stage manager said through your cracked dressing room door. It was your typical Friday night at the club, there was a large crowd waiting out there just for you. Friday nights were your biggest nights, they have been since you started your career here at the club when you were twenty. Some of the other girls were always jealous of your success here. You walked into this place years ago to bartend you never expected to become one of their top girls, but when the owner of the club was holding rehearsals before the night began one of the girls fell of the stage and was injured. Not knowing what to do the owner pulled you from the bar and asked if you had any talents like singing and dancing. You had only sung in the comfort of your home or car, you never sang in front of anyone before. The owner was blown away with your voice that she demanded that you preformed that night. And since then, you haven't gone a night without singing your heart out on the stage.

You sat there in your baby pink satin robe applying the last little bit of makeup, and changing into your first costume of the night. Okay y/n you got this you've done this 100's of times. You talked yourself up as you stood on the stage, the lights dimmed and the curtain rose. Music started playing as the crowd gave you a soft applause. "Why? Who me? Why? Feet don't fail me now," you started singing. As you were singing one particular person caught your eye. His piercing green eyes never left yours. The song continued playing and you sang to the strange man like he was the only one in the room. You gave your signature wink as you sang the last line, "We were born to die."

With a simple bow and a smile, you ended your set and retreated back to your dressing room. Back in the room you took down your hair and started removing your makeup. A gentle knock interrupted your activates. "Come in."

"I'm so sorry if I was interrupting something." A deep voice said followed by the creaking of the door. In the mirror you were met from the green-eyed man from the crowd. "Oh, it's no problem hun, I'm y/n. What can I do for you?" you said kindly. This man was very intense looking. "I couldn't help but admire your voice, you have the voice of and angel. My name is Vicurl. I have heard lots of wonderful things about you, but I had to come hear you for myself. The company I work for is holding a gala on Sunday and we would love to have you preform. We will cover any costs you have and will pay you whatever you want. Here is my card call me tomorrow and I will have a driver pick you up and we will handle everything from there." Vicurl said handing you his card with just a phone number on it.

You were speechless, you had never had something like this happen to you. It was an amazing opportunity for you to branch out and preform outside of the club. "Just sleep on it and call me in the morning. It was lovely meeting you y/n." he said kissing the back of your hand before making a grand exit.

Leaving you with your thoughts you tried the weigh the good and bad of taking this opportunity. You couldn't make this decision on your own so you called for the owner of the club, Eva, she had become your mentor over the years and you could always count on her to help you make tough decisions. "And that's what happened. Eva, I don't know what to do." "Oh, child if you do not take this opportunity to spread your wings and fly I will personally beat your ass. It is not every day that a handsome guy swoops in and asks one of our performers to sing at a gala. So go home get some rest and call him. The club will always be here, even after you go on to become big and famous." Eva lectured giving you a hug. She was right it wasn't every day this happened here.
