Happy Birthday, Ciel Phantomhive / Settling In
Aurora went to sleep the night the Phantomhive Staff returned from the Curry Competition. She followed after Sebastian to her room. "I hope you will find the accommodations to your liking, Miss Magné." Aurora nodded, "Yes. Thank you, Monsieur Michaelis." Sebastian frowned for aa moment, but he then cast a perfect smile her way, "Sebastian will do just fine, you need not use formalities."
Aurora smiled and turned, "Very well. Then Aurora shall do just as well, Sebastian." She shook his hand and Sebastian chuckled, "Yes." He smiled walking towards the exit, "I bid you goodnight, Aurora." Aurora smiled sweetly, "Goodnight!" The moment he was gone, Aurora flopped onto her bed and sighed. She couldn't get over the fact she was finally free. Free of Heaven and it's rules. For now at least. Her smile faded. Sebastian... He seemed so... strangely familiar.
There was something about him, something the angel couldn't quite place. She fell back against her pillows with a sigh. She stared up at the ceiling. The night would pass quickly, as it always had. She glanced to the empty side of the bed. Immortality was a curse. A curse many lived alone. She had always been open to the idea of marriage, but only if it was to her one true soul mate. Most saw the concept of soul mates as an old wives tale, told only by ancient angels. Aurora remembered the times her mother would visit, and tell her stories of the olden that were blessed with soul mates.
"How do you know when you've found them?!" Young Angelica Laverné had asked. Lucia Magné smiled fondly at her angelic daughter. "It is said that when you find them, you just know. You'll know deep within your heart my little dove, that that being is whom you are meant to be with."
Aurora's eyes flashed open. Soulmates. It was a long forgotten concept, and there was no such term used. It was more metaphorical than anything. She put a hand to her heart carefully, her fingertips just barely resting above her beating heart. She was unsure how she felt towards the butler, she certainly liked him... He seemed... kind? For a demon that is. She sighed, demons and angels don't mix. They never have... Her mind was wandering.
Soon, the dawn light reflected on her silver blue hues and she rolled away from the sunshine. She did not require sleep, not much of it anyways. She sighed and shut her eyes. She would rest for an hour, to restore her strength. As her eyes fluttered shut and her breathing changed to that of a sleeping human being, she failed to notice the soft, glowing red eyes in the corner of the bedroom, watching her like a hawk and with a hint of sorrow in them.
Why... Why my angel... Why do you not remember me?
Aurora woke to a loud crash and jolted from her slumber. She noticed how bright it was and then the time on the clock. She shot out of her bed and dressed. She was putting her hair up, rushing to the main hall when she suddenly tripped.
"And who, pray tell Ciel, is this?" Aurora gulped. Marchioness Midford towered above her with her daughter, Lady Elizabeth. Aurora had not yet met the young girl, but the bubbly blonde looked at her with bright, emerald green eyes and began ranting on how 'simply adorable!' the maid was.
