Alex's POV

What the hell? I'm so confused. I thought they were just friends. But here we are, watching Gray, someone who didn't show emotion or touch anyone, hugging a guy I met this morning. I could fight the jealousy rising in my throat.

I had liked Gray for a while now. It was nothing more than a crush, assuming Gray didn't like me, but recently for some reason I began to think he might. Just a little. It might just be him adapting to a friendship.

This Skylar guy was hugging him back. I didn't like the way his hands gripped his back and his hips. That's not how friends hugged. It should've been around the shoulders and not nearly this long. Gray shouldn't have his head buried in his neck. Skylar shouldn't be blushing.

Gray pulled away, getting off of his toes and turned around. I guess we all looked shocked.

"What?" He asked.

"The ever so stoic Gray Yeon just hugged someone. If I were them I'd be shocked to," Skylar spoke up, his hands still on Gray's back and hips.

Gray shot him a look before walking back over to us and picking up his pool stick, followed by him running a hand through his hair.

"Alright. You," he pointed at Skylar, "have done explaining to do."

"What do you mean?"

"Please tell me I'm not the only one confused?" Poor Eugene looked even more confused than the rest of us.

"He's a friend of mine. Met him in middle school. We got... split up with the switch to n high school. You know how it goes. "

Skylar shot him a look, one that said he wasn't telling the truth, at least not the whole truth. It was intriguing, Gray didn't seem like the type of pain to lie. Unless... he was hiding something big.

"What exactly do I have to explain?" Skylar shot him a smirk and raise an eyebrow.

"How in the name of hell did you of all people end up at Eujang?" Gray's face didn't match the tone of his voice.

"You're one to talk."

Gray raised a slender eyebrow, somehow making him look even better. His pale pink lips formed a slight pout and his head tilted showing if a sharp jaw line. I could tell I wasn't the only one thinking he was attractive, not with the way Skylar's face turned pink and his eyes skimmed over his face. Once again jealousy boiled in my stomach.

"Fine, fine, if you insist," Skylar smirked. "I- well..." He laughed. "I don't really know how to explain! Let's see after we got... split you could say, I started to miss you my friend." Gray ruled his eyes, almost playfully. This was new. "So I put in an effort to find you! I at first tried to do it by myself, that didn't go well, so I asked one of our old teachers what school you transferred to. One thing led to another and," he flung his arms outward. "Here we are."

Gray was quiet for a minute. At least, I thought he was quiet. He was mumbling, voicing his thoughts, clearly trying to work something out. Skylar sighed and rubbed his head, like he was some sort of pet, and laughed. Gray had immediately shoved his hands away giving him a "Don't touch my hair" before mumbling some more.

"Gray, you're mumbling." Gerard voices.

"Huh?" He looked up at us and then at Skylar and then back at us. "Holy shit."

"What?" Skylar asked, giggling.

"I, Gray Yeon, the most anti social person anyone will ever meet, had friends."

Skylar riddled his hair again, this time Gray let him, even though it left his hair wild. But that's not what I was focusing on. The way he called us friends felt like a knife to my chest. I could tell Skylar felt the same way, he was just doing the best job of covering it up.

This was killing him.
The realization hit him like a ton of bricks. I had thought he was trying to steal Gray away, make him his. I was way off. He just wanted Gray again, wanted to be around him, even if it was just a friend's. It was clear Gray was happy and it showed that it was all Skylar cared about.

"Ready to play?" Skylar grabbed his pool stick and smirked at us. Looks like we have a new addition to the crew.
