BLUE
I was surprised my body hadn't melted off, my skin felt hot.I felt like my heart was going to pound out of my chest. I have never felt so nervous,my feet were playing the jiggy game.
My eyes stayed with Mrs Calesmay as she walked across the room coming to my side. I couldn't help but wonder if she just saw this whole fiancée thing is a facade.
She sat herself down on Brody's chair, she had an aura about her even when she did the simplest things like sitting down. I could feel my sweaty palms rubbing against the thigh.
"Don't play games with me, I know you two aren't engaged" her tone was sharp and cold.
"I don't know what you're talking about but me and your son are in love" I lifted my head up high and tried to keep an even expression. Even though I was nervous as hell but I had to keep my cool. She laughed which creeped me out, a dangerous laugh that is.
"I know girls like you, I know Brody paid you to put on this Oscar award winning performance. But I can see right through you, you're not even compatible with him"
I was suspecting she was a part of the FBI because her detective skills are clearly on point.
"As I said I don't know what you're talking about" I bored my eyes into hers, her features were incredible. She cannot be over 50 years old with that skin.
"I almost admire your loyalty but even with that dress I can see you are poor. You don't look like us and you don't belong with us. You're probably some desperate girl with an income not even worth this fork" she held up the gold fork.
I knew better than to let her dig through me, even though I felt shattered but I won't let her think that lowly of me. I have had with people judging me and criticizing me.
"And I know about those hotels you mentioned,I know the owners and their families so you can drop the act. Leave my son alone, you're not in his league you don't deserve him" she continued.
"Fine my parents don't own any hotels and yes I'm poor but Brody and I are in love and he's my fiancé" I realized I didn't have a way out of the hotel thing so it was better to come out but not blow the cover.
"You don't have to tell me you're poor, I can see it I mean look at yourself. Either way you are going leave Brody and never ever be in contact with him am I clear?" the room was quite, it's been a while since Brody left and the helpers aren't anywhere to be seen to save me from this woman.
She keeps on persisting about the fact that I'm poor and I'm not good enough for her son. Well it's not like her son is the nicest human being, he's probably the most arrogant and self centered.
"I won't leave Brody, and who are you to tell me what to do?" I raised my eyebrow, I was annoyed and frustrated.
The next thing I felt her hand on my cheek, hot and stinging. She slapped me. The slap echoed through the entire room.
"Mother? What are you doing!" Brody rushed to my side dropping the bottle, letting it splatter on the tile. The glass pieces detaching from the original piece. The white sparkling liquid now sparkling on the floor.
He removed my hand from my cheek and stared at the hot little red scratch. This has to be the most evil woman I know.
"What are you doing?" his expression screamed bewildered. Like he also didn't expect his mother to do such a thing.
"Saving you, she doesn't deserve to be marry into our family. Can't you see I'm doing this for our family, I'll have to call your uncle so he can talk some sense into you" she stood up, her expression so null like she didn't just slap someone.
