I sat silently on the couch, waiting for Talia to arrive. I stared at the clock, watching the seconds go by. I still hadn't heard from Sean, and honesty, I wasn't expecting to. He was probably freaked out by me. A knock interrupted my thoughts. I opened the door to see Talia standing in front of me. I motioned for her to come in. She sat on the couch as I closed the door. I sat next to her, looking at her.
"What truth are you looking for, Abby?"
"Why did you set me up to get busted by the cops?"
"Oh, this is what you want to know. Well, I wanted to get back at Stephanie. I'm sure it was a real slap in the face to think I was on her side and then I became your lawyer."
"So you don't care what happens to me? You're just doing it to get back at her?"
"That's not true, Abby. See, you're a lot like me. She did the same thing to me way back when the curse had taken over me, but I knew they had no solid evidence to hold you. You're smart. Smarter than I was. They don't understand what we're going through. They just see us as another monster they're taking off the street. Another number to add to their statistics."
"Do you think they'll ever have evidence enough to bring me to trial?"
"They can still take you to trial, but the jury would think it's a waste of time. If they had solid evidence, they would have found it by now. As long as you don't kill anyone else, you should be fine. You've covered your tracks up quite nicely." I lowered my head as Talia spoke.
"So they could still take me to court? Regardless of evidence?"
"Yes, but as I said before, the jury and even the judge will see it as a waste of time by the time the trials over. I'm good at my job, and with them having nothing on you, you're good."
"What about my blog?"
"So what? Your blog says you killed someone, but they have no evidence pointing to that one kid. They don't even have an id on the victim you killed. Make sense?"
"Yes. So I couldn't even get charged for that?"
"Most likely no. Unless you make a bad impression on the judge."
"Sweet." My phone started vibrating against the table. I picked it up. A smile appeared on my face, and I noticed Talia looked at me as if I was crazy.
"Thanks, Talia. Keep me filled in. You really should be going now. I have some business to take care of." She nodded and left. I opened the messages I had received.

Sean- hey beautiful. Don't think I forgot about you. I miss you like crazy. This whole thing does not change how I feel about you. I'll be over later so we can talk.

Abby- okay xoxo

Okay was the only thing I could say. Wow, I was lame. I was just so happy he wasn't judging me about this. Maybe he read my blog and saw how upset I was. I couldn't wait to see Sean; I couldn't wait to hug him.

Sorry the chapter was so short! I'm on break and had to rush. Do you think Sean is actually okay with everything that Abby told him? Leave your thoughts!
