A special show was coming to Paradise Island. Everyone was working hard to make sure that the show would be ready on time. (Y/N) gathered all her engines together. "The Radio City Rockettes are coming to preform at the special show," she said, "And I need an engine to take them from the airport." "What are the Rockettes?" asked Percy. "They are a group of women who are most famous for their special dancing. They practice and the practicality dance in unison." The engines were excited. "Oh, I must get cleaned!" said Gordon. "So should I!" said James. "I need a new coat of paint!" said Mallard. "I need mine polished!" said Spencer. "I need to be spotless!" said Flying Scotsman. So the five engines puffed off to get ready to show off. "What about your trains!?!" asked (Y/N), but the engines didn't hear her. "Oh dear," said (Y/N). So, Murdoch took the express, Henry took the Non-Stop Express, and Donald, Douglas, and Edward took the local.

Thomas worked hard to get his jobs done. He soon arrived at the airport. There, he saw a jet plane land. He could hear people coming out of the plane. Gordon, James, Flying Scotsman, Mallard and Spencer all came just in time to see a group of ladies coming out onto the platform. "Hello," said one, "We are the Radio City Rockettes." "Hello," said (Y/N), "I am (Y/N) Awdry, controller of this railway. You can choose one of these engines here." "I hope they choose me," said Thomas. The big engines laughed. "Oh Thomas," said Gordon, "Why would some important people like the Rockettes want to ride on a little tank engine like you to the special show?" "Well, we most certainly want to ride, big, pompous, and mostly RUDE bullies like you five!" The big engines were taken back! "Now," said another of the Rockettes, "Thomas, was it? Will you take us to the show please?" Thomas whistled, "Yes ma'am! I will!" "But what about us?" asked James. "YOU can take the goods trains that the others had to leave to do your work!" said (Y/N) sternly, "Maybe that will teach you all not to be so arrogant when important visitors come." "Yes ma'am," said the five big engines as they puffed away sulking.

The Radio City Rockettes loved riding in Annie and Clarabel. When they arrived, everyone gave them a big round of applause! "Now, if we could get a picture with Thomas," said one of the Rockettes. They headed to the front of the little tank engine, and they smiled. Thomas was very pleased. He watched the show from the rails, and even sang along with some of the songs.

As for the big engines, they missed the show, taking the goods trains that were needed to be delivered. They now wished they hadn't been so selfish.
