"So, you need someone to look over your daughter?" the director, Mr Lee, asked. Summer has come, and Cheng Hui, Cheng Xiao's father, came to meet Mr Lee to discuss the protection of his daughter. He nodded. "I am retiring soon, so I'm going overseas to settle something before returning," Cheng Hui said. "Okay, why don't we take a look at the agents that are training?"
Sooman stood up and led Cheng Hui out of the meeting room, turned left, right, left, left, over a flight of stairs, turned to the right, right, right and left, into a training chamber with a window screen.
Six girls were inside the chamber, training in the use of guns. The instructor counted down, and gunshots were fired at the moving targets. Their faces were so serious-looking, but when they successfully hit the moving targets, they cheered and joined together for a big group hug.
"They are in the same school as Cheng Xiao, and they are already friends with her," Mr Lee said, watching them attempt to shoot the now moving-around-at-180-kilometres-per-hour target.
"Outsiders think that they are fierce and cold. But the people around them see them smile every day. They are friendly but can carry out their duties well," Mr Lee added. Cheng Hui nodded. "They should be. I want them to protect Cheng Xiao."
Back to the present. Here, we have six boys watching Class 3-3 take notes in their classroom. They were outside the class, looking into the windows.
"What's with them? They don't look as nerdy as last time," Haruto said, watching Sieun twirl her Apple pencil and then turning to Yoon to talk to her about something. She turned back and started taking notes on her iPad.
"Can't you see? You used to bully them, especially Isa. Even the day before. You purposely tripped her, right?" Jeongwoo questioned.
"You're too mean," Hyunsuk commented. "How can I not be? They looked annoying as heck," Haruto snorted. Yoshi shook his head.
"You underestimated them way too much. See that girl? Sumin? She is Jongho's cousin and can break apples apart like Jongho. Her grip strength is powerful, and if she gets her hands on your neck, that will be the end for you! Also, didn't Yeeun threaten you with a gun?!" Yoshi exclaimed. "It might look as if they are weak, but every person has a different side of theirs. Let's go. The girls are looking at us," Asahi dragged them away from the six heads staring at them.
It was PE with Class 3-1 again for STAYC and their classmates, and they were playing badminton this time. The classes will first be grouped into pairs before competing in an inter-class friendly competition.
"Isa, catch!" Sieun exclaimed as Isa made a dive for the shuttlecock and swatted it away from the floor, successfully continuing the rally. Sieun made a smash for the shuttlecock, and Isa saved the ball from falling again.
"Sieun, can you stop smashing the shuttlecock? IT'S GETTING MORE ANNOYING AS THE RALLY GOES BY," Isa exasperated as she served the ball. Multiple students turned around to look at her before turning back. Class 3-3 started shaking their heads.
They decided to take a break, and while the duo were standing on one side, Sieun watched the other pair near them, Cheng Xiao and Aisha, play their match. Cheng Xiao was agile, and she could reach for the shuttle in time whenever Aisha tried to hit it to the corner, which would have been supposedly out of reach for Cheng Xiao.
Soon, it was time for the inter-class friendly competition. The teachers gathered the students to sit in front of the makeshift badminton court. Firstly, Seonghwa and Sieun.
"Hah, my brother, I got you. I'm sure that I'll win."
"Oh, we'll see, sister," Seonghwa smirked, competitive mode on. They adjusted their rackets, and Seonghwa served the shuttlecock. Soon, a heated rally made both classes sit attentively and crane their necks towards the middle of the sports hall. A series of "oohs" and "ahs" were made when Sieun smashed the shuttlecock towards Seonghwa, and the latter hit the flying target far from Sieun. Sieun made a dive towards the shuttlecock before hitting it back.
Soon, Seonghwa won the match. Sieun bonked her brother's head with the racket when he stuck his tongue out. The teachers selected another student from their class. It was Doyoung and Haruto.
That match was more heated than the other. Haruto attempted to smash whenever he got the chance, but Doyoung was quick and witty, causing him to win most rallies. The next pair was Hongjoong and Aisha.
"That girl's taller than me..." Hongjoong said timidly.
"It's okay. Come on, you can do it," Sumin whispered, and he nodded. The match started, and the class were delighted when they saw their classmate doing his best. When the rally ended, it was a tie. The teachers checked their watches before discussing, and after that, they went to the front.
"Now, since both classed are tied, we decided to have a tiebreaker match since we have enough time for one," Class 3-3's PE teacher said.
"Now, Jeongwoo, it's your turn," the teacher called from the other side of the hall, where class 3-1's students were sitting.
"Hmmm..." Class 3-3's teacher said as he scanned around the bunch of students before stopping at a girl with pastel violet highlights.
"Isa, why don't you try and beat the other class?"
Isa hesitated before standing up and walking to the centre of the hall. She held the shuttle in her hands, waiting for the opponent to get ready before serving. If the phrase "more heated than ever" is used to describe this match, that would've been an understatement.
Isa had to move to the back each time Jeongwoo hit the shuttle, and she had to run to the front to get the shuttle whenever he hit it gently on time. As the match went by, both persons were tied, but their points kept increasing, and the distance between the viewers and the badminton court kept decreasing.
"One more minute," one of the PE teachers announced. The shuttle came towards Isa, and she hit it with her racket again, and when Jeongwoo smashed the shuttle again, Isa took it as her chance to finish him off. She aimed and swung her racket and hit the shuttlecock, causing it to fly towards an opposite direction than what Jeongwoo would expect her to hit, and it landed in court. "Time's up!" Both teachers said. The students of Class 3-3 hooted in delight and cheered for those in the friendly competition, took their things and walked back to their classrooms, tired and sweaty, though not all were competing.
"Well, good thing you're my partner," Sieun said, flipping her ginger-coloured hair. Isa rolled her eyes and nudged her. "I guess so. But still, stop smashing that often."
