Charles and Di were now engaged and i was really happy for her, but, to be honest, i was still a bit uneasy about the whole thing.
They had an interview, and when he was asked "are you in love?" he replied with "whatever in love means". i knew diana would be a bit upset about that...because obviously. buy diana also tended to overthink.
i got a call from my best friend.
"Mia?" She spoke through the phone
"Hey, Di." i responded
"Did you see the interview?" she asked me
"yes, that wasn't so bad, you looked gorgeous!" i told her
"i'm blushing." she responded sarcastically
"you should be." i snapped
"but what about that part?" she asked
"what?" i questioned
"the ridiculous ITN man. he said 'are you in love?' obviously, i thought it was a thick question. but i said 'yes, of course we are,' and charles said 'whatever in love means.' and that's thrown me, completely."
"i know, darling, don't worry. he was probably just a bit nervous." i tried to calm her
"about what? we're engaged." she said
"they're all just a bit complicated though, aren't they." i said plainly.
she's right. it was strange, why did he wait so long to answer? and why did he reply so long after what she'd said. it's odd.
