Yoriichi wasn't sure what to say, truthfully. He'd left his brother and all behind for his child's safety. There was numerous reasons he kept his secrets. Kokushibo worked under Muzan, the deemed father of the child. But that meant a single error would risk that information coming to light. While he feared such an outcome, there was still the brotherly bond he shared. His brother meant the world to him, urged him to trust him. But there were pros and cons to such thoughts. One could lead to troubles, the other leave him safe and carefree.
"So this is your brother, Yoriichi? He mentioned it, but I did have my doubts for a moment." The older male kept silent for a moment, inspecting Yoriichi's expression. There wasn't any real fear, but a slight worry that brought the other's brows to furrow a bit. "Yoriichi?"
"Kanguro, might I request a moment with my brother? I will explain everything after, since I am sure you've been able to distinguish what he is by now." Kanguro gave a short nod, rising from the couch before leaving the area. Once gone, Yoriichi fell into the seating, simply staring at the floor. "How did you find me?"
"You're my brother, so it wasn't hard. Word got out from someone, but I intercepted. Why run away and tell no one? That's not like you, Yoriichi!"
"I know... But I had my own reason, trust me on this." Kokushibo sighed, obviously showing his rising irritation.
"I really want to trust you, but I need answers. Once you left, 'he' got so much worse. So much colder. He tore the old lowermoon apart, replacing them later on. His rage was not merciful! As his mate, you had an obligation once you accepted to remain with him."
"I know..."
"Then WHY? Why leave me? Leave him? You lied to me... Broke his heart. You've done more harm than aid, Yoriichi, so fucking explain!" Yoriichi kept his eyes elsewhere, his teeth chewing on his lip. "Yoriichi, I won't ask nicely again..."
"I-" He stumbled over his words, his emotions slipping. His pregnancy made his emotions a mystery. Tears pricked at his eyes, Kokushibo grinding his teeth. The brother hadn't meant to raise his tone, but he needed answers Yoriichi was refusing to offer.
"YORIICHI!"
"I'm pregnant, Kokushibo. THAT'S WHY I RAN!" A heavy silence ran along the room, Kanguro slipping back into the room. It startled Yoriichi, who was crying without realizing it. The older male took the spot beside Yoriichi, pulling him slightly closer. That head of maroon yet red hair rested on Kanguro, Yoriichi struggling to calm himself as Kokushibo was speechless. Even for a demon, that information was critical. It raised so many flags. So many questions. He too slumped into a seat, waiting for Yoriichi to calm down. It took a couple minutes, but he finally regained his composure. His fingers ran along his own stomach, drawing Kokushibo's gaze.
"Who's kid is it?" Yoriichi glared hard at that question, giving the other their answer. "But how? It should have been impossible..."
"I don't know... If I did, I might not have run. I can't go back, you know that. I won't have my own kid be raised into that evil." Kokushibo sighed, rubbing his face. He was truthfully happy to have seen his brother again, but it also brought another issue. So long as Yoriichi was alive, Muzan would never stop looking. If he found out he had an heir, he'd truthfully strip Yoriichi of the child. It was simply how Muzan was in his current mindset. He was a mess.
"You're his brother, are you not?" Kanguro spoke sternly, drawing the Demons gaze. He'd known from the beginning the older man knew he was a Demon. "I don't personally care about Yoriichi's past, but I care for him. He will be fine here, so let him be. It may be hard to accept, but he's safe here. Him and the child. Should you visit, I am not opposed. I simply want what's best for Yoriichi."
"I know that, it's just; matters are complicated."
"Complicated or not, nothing is impossible. Should an issue arise, work around it." Kokushibo raised a brow, tilting his head slightly.
"How do you suppose I do that when the problem won't ever stop looking for him?" Kanguro sighed, standing as he glanced toward Yoriichi.
"Simple. Fake a death. Yoriichi is human, so there will be evidence." Kokushibo made an attempt to stop the older male, but was silence as Kanguro left the room. Not even a minute later, he re-enter with Yoriichi's original outfit. It caught both brother's off guard.
"I thought you threw that out?"
"It had such unique colors, so I kept it in hope to remake it into something. I'm glad I didn't." The Demon rubbed his temple, contemplating things.
"That could work, but I fear the repercussions..."
"This is the best you have. It simply comes down to who you wish to protect. Your brother, or the one you serve. This will keep Yoriichi safe, along with the child. It is the better option and you know it." There was again a heavy silence, Kokushibo groaning. He chewed his lip, scowling. his tone was low, but didn't hold a single ounce of regret.
"Fine. What do I need to do?"
