Chapter 8

"So we're stuck with each other. Deal with it."

Jungkook's words were still stuck inside my head even when classes are over. I don't know why but I can't get it off of my head. It made me really nervous.

I'm on my way to the detention room because last morning, a teacher caught me and Jungkook outside our classroom during class hours. Ugh, if only Jungkook wasn't there I wouldn't be having detention right now.

I arrived in front of the detention room after awkwardly asking some students. To my surprise, Jungkook just arrived who was walking from the other side. I stopped and held on to the straps of my bag  while I looked at him open the door. He went inside then I followed.

When I went inside, only the teacher was there and no students were there. I guess it's only me and Jungkook who gets to have detention this day.

"You are here. You two will have a 30-minute detention. Good luck." The teacher said then left us inside the room.

I groaned and sat on a nearby chair, crossing my arms. 30 minutes. A very short amount of time but if it's with Jeon Jungkook, it will feel like an eternity.

"New to detention, huh?" Jungkook asked.

"And I guess you've been here for the hundredth time, right?" I asked him back.

"Whatever." He said then walked towards the window and opened it.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Escaping, duh." He answered then was about to jump off the window but I stood up from my seat to stop him.

"Wait!" I yelled to stop him in which he did. Jungkook looked back at me. "What? You wanna come with me?" He asked. Err, yeah I wanna escape. I don't wanna sit here for 30 minutes.

"Yeah but- I mean no, what if they'll look for us?" I asked him.

"They won't." He replied.

"How do you know?"

"As you've said, I've been here for the hundredth time, newbie. My parents own this school and I know more about how it works more than you do. They don't even check if we're still inside this room the moment they leave." Jungkook replied.

"Oh..." was all I could say.

"So are you coming or not?" Jungkook asked. I was hesitating because it still feels new to me that I'll be going with Jungkook but I don't wanna stay here so I nodded.

"Fine, lead the way." I told him. Jungkook looked at me and laughed, making me confused.

"What?" I asked.

"You're one naughty girl after all." Jungkook said and smirked. I rolled my eyes, making him laugh then after that, he finally Jumped off the window.

It was my turn to jump off the window. I take a look of how high it was. It wasn't that high from the ground but it was still too high for me to jump.

"What are you waiting for?" Jungkook asked from below.

"It's a little high for me." I told him. Jungkook sighed then raised both of his hands up. I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Jump. I'll catch you."

"What?"

"Just jump and I'll catch you." He said.

"And why should I trust you?" I asked.

"Just.....Just trust me. Hurry up!" Jungkook replied. I guess I have to trust him right now. I closed my eyes and prepared myself to jump.
