Sonic and Tails were heading to south island because tails' cammera picked up a lot of smoke from eggman's old base, scrap brain zone. However they wouldn't be expecting new adventure in store for them.
( This scenario takes place as sonic and tails head to scrap brain zone which is now in ruins, when eggman's new inventions explodes all of reality will be shattered and dimensional portals will appear, this means that its a full on crossover like smash ultimate. which means that any video game can become part of this crossover)
