Ben, Gwen, and Kevin in Scooby-Doo! and The Cyber Chase

Chapter 6

They soon appeared in the third level, which was a military base that was completely abandoned.

"Where are we now??" Daphne asks

"Looks like the old Los Soledad military base." Velma comments

"Well, like, it beats ancient Rome any day." Shaggy comments

They heard some oddly distinct wooshing sounds and when looking over at the source, Shaggy and Scooby jumped back, Shaggy's hair spiking up and Scooby's ears violently shaking.

"ZOINKS!!!! WHAT'S THAT?!?!?!?!?!???" Shaggy yelped

Everyone looked over and saw the Phantom Virus riding some sort of creature, one Ben and Kevin sort of knew on the spot, the Phantom Virus holding a large spiked metal pole.

"How's THIS for a heavy hitter???" The Phantom Virus taunts

"Jinkies!!" Velma exclaims. "What is that he's riding??!?!?"

"A Trans-Dimensional Monster." Ben comments. "If it touches us, we'll get aged to the point where we turn to dust!!"

"Everyone cut between those in between sections inbetween the shelter buildings, it's too thin for them to follow!!" Fred ordered

They all took off running, cutting to the section in-between the buildings, even ducking into one of them, and when the monster couldn't follow, the virus growled, chucking the metal pole at them, only to barely miss and stick in the ground.

In the real world, Eric, Bill, Gwen, Kaufman, and Wembley were watching the gang's progress in the game, Gwen sighing with relief when the metal pole missed.

"That was a close one." Bill comments

"Yeah, but they're doing pretty good, so far." Eric stated

Gwen thought for a second.

"You know, fellas, i've been wondering." Gwen comments. "Who activated the laser and sent them in in the first place?"

"Who knows? Could be anyone." Bill responds

"Even someone in this very room." Kaufman replied, looking at everyone else suspiciously

Back in the game, they had taken shelter and started a small fire after having explored the place for hours and hours.

"We just hiked around this place for miles and STILL can't find the Scooby Snacks." Daphne comments

"Well, we better." Velma comments. "Otherwise we'll be stuck in this level forever."

Scooby and Shaggy were busy sketching on a whiteboard with some dry erase markers and making great drawings of food.

"All I know is that this virus likes to scare us in cyberspace as much as in the real world!" Shaggy comments, setting his marker down

Scooby licked his lips when imaging all the food him and Shaggy just drew in his head.

Velma took note of how good the drawings looked and spotted another one, one of some sort of device.

"Hey, great work, guys." Velma comments, pointing over to the drawing she found of the odd device. "Which of you did the drawing over there?"

The two looked at it, raising an eyebrow.

"Not me!" The two both responded

Ben walked over and looked at the drawing closely.

"Looks like a device of some kind." Fred comments

"I wonder if it really means anything." Ben comments

The fire started dimming a little.

"Oh no! The fire's going out!" Velma comments

Fred walked over to the fire and poked it with his poking stick.

"Gonna be dark in a few hours too." Fred comments

"Shaggy, Scooby, your turn to get the firewood." Velma stated

"Oh, alright." Shaggy mutters. "Come on, Scoob."

While going around and getting some firewood, they were almost done with collecting what firewood they had to collect.

"Just a few more planks and we can head back, Scoob ol pal." Shaggy comments

Scooby's nose began twitching as he sniffed around.

"What is it?" Shaggy asks

Scoby took a couple more sniffs just to make sure his nose wasn't acting up.

"RSmoke." Scooby answers

"Smoke???" Shaggy questions

After looking around, Shaggy saw the source of the smoke.

"ZOINKS!! Look up there!!!" Shaggy yelped, pointing over. "Like, all those buildings are burning!!!! Especially the library!!"

A huge burning chunk of wood was chucked at them, missing them narrowly.

"LIKE, FORGET THE WOOD, SCOOB!! WE GOTTA WARN THE OTHERS!!" Shaggy yelped

The two dropped what wood they had and bolted off. When they got there, they were nearly out of breath.

"What happened, guys?" Fred asks

"And where's the firewood?" Ben adds

"Like, if we don't get outta here soon, WE'RE ALL GONNA BE FIREWOOD!!!" Shaggy yelps

"What are you talking about, Shaggy?" Velma asks

"RBurning buildings!" Scooby yelps

Everyone got up and ran over to the door and saw that some of the buildings were in fact burning.

"I hate to say it, but I bet that's where the Scooby Snacks are." Velma said, looking at the tech lab. "That drawing was a clue to lead us to the Scooby Snacks."

"Well, then what are we waiting for???" Ben comments. "Let's go and get them before it's too late!"

When getting to outside the tech lab, the other buildings were practically falling apart from the fire damage.

"Looks like they're really cooking." Fred mutters

This time, another wooshing sound was heard, but more violent which made the buildings around them collapse worse.

"Oh no! The fires are getting worse!" Daphne comments

"I wouldn't say that, Daph." Kevin comments, pointing over. "We've got company!"

Everyone looked over and saw the Phantom Virus still riding a Trans-Dimensional Monster, heading right for them.

"EVERYONE INSIDE THE TECH LAB! NOW!!" Fred shouts

Everyone rushed into the tech lab building, Scooby slamming the door shut.

"Time to see which one i'm able to use again this time." Ben comments, turning on the Omnitrix and managing to turn into Big Chill

Ben then froze the door solid and cleared out some of the fire.

"Everyone get to searching!" Ben ordered

Everyone began digging around the tech lab as fast as they could to find the Scooby Snacks. Soon enough, Scooby found them, sticking his hand out from under some boxes with the Scooby Snacks box in his hand.

"RFOUND THEM!!!" Scooby called out

"Great! He found the Scooby Snacks!!" Shaggy cheered

Ben turned back to normal and with that, they began getting transported to the next level with the building collapsing over them just after they were actually transported.
