"Now for Shiratorizawa's very own, nationally recognized volleyball teams!"

"Ladies first." Kawanishi said, grinning at you as you glared at him.

"Good luck Y/N-chan!" Tendou smiled at you, giving you a big thumbs up as your other senpais smiled at you, both girls and boys.

You smiled back, thankful to have such supportive people around you before your mood soured at the voice of the person who had you all there in the first place.

"Oikawa! Over here."

You looked up at the student council president waving you over to the front next to the entrance of the stage.

You hummed, going up to her as she hummed in content, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

"I'm sure you'll rack up a generous sum, Oikawa-chan." She grinned, lightly giggling at the scowl you gave her.

"The only thing keeping me going is that I know you won't be coming back next year, president-san." You hummed, looking ahead as she snickered.

"Well, don't be too shocked once you get on there, we got quite a few of non-shiratorizawa alumni in attendance today." She grinned, not letting you question her when she lightly pushed you forward.

"-first year starter who's racked up quite the number of fans all around Japan, both from her looks and skills, our very own national beauty... Oikawa Y/N!"

You walked on stage, bombarded by the heightened volume of cheers and clapping, taken aback at the number of people in attendance as the auctioneer ushered you close to her.

"Now then, show us a cute pose, Oikawa-chan?"

You blinked at her, looking at the abundant amount of people in the crowd as you short circuited, smiling at the crowd as you pulled a sailor moon pose, pointing at them with one hand while you formed two horns with your index and pinky finger from the other hand.

Blushing in embarrassment when you heard a series of cooes, a majority coming from your senpais in the back. Silently cursing Tooru for making that pose second nature to you.

The auctioneer let out a small giggle, stepping up as you stood back up straight.

"Alright then, remember to put up your numbered paddle when you tell the amount you want to bid... shall we begin?" She grinned, looking at the crowd holding their breaths. "Let's start the bidding at ten thousand yen!"

"Fifteen thousand yen!" A voice called out almost immediately, making both you and the auctioneer look towards the back where a familiar guy raised his hand, though not fully familiar since you failed to remember his name. Anyway, you recognized him as your class president, leading you to assume that they put him back there to increase the bid price.

"Well that was quick-"

"Twenty thousand yen!" Another voice cut her off, this time a deeper male voice near the front, a boy you couldn't even recognize the face off.

"Thirty five thousand!" Another voice called out, this time a guy in the middle of the crowd.

"Fifty thousand!" Another boy from the back called out, the voices continuing as you canceled them out after a while, giving them all your small fake smile as you waited for it all to finish.

You let your thoughts begin to consume you, despite your sadness, slightly relieved Kageyama wouldn't be coming to Shiratorizawa. Especially not if he'd have to experience something like this.

That day he came looking for his scores, he found out he was rejected, leaving you a small message you didn't get to see until after practice.

He thanked you for your help and apologized for letting you down, and that he'd already applied to his second choice.
