Their lungs were emptied.

An entire tsunami of questions flowed relentlessly onto their minds — their thoughts completely provoked.

"WHAT?!" they screamed in unison; only, Chat's voice was filled with skepticism whereas Ladybug's was filled with pure excitement.

The bug had thought this was one of the best things that could have happened. It was a one-in-a-million opportunity. She hadn't expected this, but it was simply marvelous. Who would've thought?

"Wait— Ladybug, you can't actually think she's telling the truth," the other scoffed, crossing his arms.

The cat had thought this was foolish — nonsensical even. He refused to believe that Eunice was telling the truth. He was all for giving the benefit of the doubt. Although, this was too much. He thought she would be sincere; she certainly looked like it. But that was all nonsense, looks don't apply to one's personality at all.

"Chat, don't you get it?" She put his hands on hers, locking their fingers together.

"No, I don't. Do elaborate," he retorted. The whole situation was like racing off of a cliff with nothing but lies.

"Look who needs to calm down now." Ladybug inhaled for a short while before she continued. "Because of Eunice, we can finally defeat Hawkmoth!" she said excitedly.

"Can we though?" said Chat Noir, forcefully letting go of her hands. "Let me think, who jumped off of a building just to—"

"Don't say that!" she interjected, "Eunice isn't some sort of superhero. She did what she did and thankfully, it worked," said Ladybug. The short-haired girl smiled appreciatively at that.

"Even so, we can't trust her. What if this is a prank?" said the hero, frowning.

"It's not! I swear!" Eunice exclaimed angrily, "I'm being genuine. I really do want to help you two!"

"Oh yeah? I don't—" She cut him off once again.

"CHAT, STOP!" she yelled, exasperated by the conflict. "Do you want to get the butterfly miraculous back, or not?" She glared at him.

"I- y-yes..." he stammered, admittedly embarrassed.

"Good. It's Important that we take our chances, otherwise, we can't stand a chance against evil," she stated.

His irritation diminished. "You're right, Ladybug," said Chat Noir with a smile. "Please, go on, Eunice."

"Thanks." She sighed gladly. "But if I were to be brutally honest, I'm scared to merely mention his name," Eunice said. Each time she thought of Hawkmoth's name, prickles of fear would hold her back.

"Is he that intimidating?" Ladybug rolled her eyes.

"You have no idea. Until now, I'm terrified of both him and Miss Rossi." She looked down, her previous fear repeating in her mind.

"So you're saying they were really harsh on you?" Chat arched his left eyebrow.

"I suppose so," said Eunice in reply. Tense, she rubbed both of her biceps.

"Hey, if you're uncomfortable telling us this then it's completely alright. We can always wait for another ti—" said Ladybug, attempting to reassure her.

"No! We can't," she interposed. "I'll try..." she said with hesitance.

The heroes prepared themselves, waiting eagerly. They thought that the day they knew Hawkmoth's identity, it would feel like all the Holidays combined. Be that as it may, it felt like a rollercoaster. You're overly excited, yet petrified.
