"What did you do Tootie?!" Tiny squinted her eyes.
"I didn't do anything Tiny. He met me in my parking lot and he just held me. I really needed that."
"And you couldn't call me?!" She slightly raised her voice.
"You didn't answer Tiny."
"I legit was trying to call you back."
"I was already outside talking with Chris."
Softly sighing, she placed her card down before sipping from her wine glass.
"Tiny don't be like that please. I'm sorry."
"You don't have to apologize Tootie. At least someone was there."
"I can still talk to you about it."
"I already know how you feel about the situation. You told me this morning, but I wish I was there with you. I'm always there for you. You know I hate missing stuff like that. That's important to me."
"And I know it is. Trust me when I say I'm alright now. I promise you I am. You have nothing to worry about. I promise."
Cutting her eyes at me, I tightly wrapped my arms around her and hugged her.
"Let me go Tootie. That's not going to work on me anymore."
"Pleaseeeee." I smiled big. "You leave me soon and I don't want us to spend our time together mad."
"Fine. But you gone run me my one on my last day here."
"This ain't what you want Tiny."
"Girl please. Ain't nobody scared of you." She smirked. "Have you talked to Mr Fine?"
"I actually called him but then I hung up because I realized we weren't taking anymore. He called back but I let it ring."
"Toootieee." She rolled her eyes. "I wish the two of you would stop it and drop y'all pride."
"He ain't have nothing to do with it. He wanted that other girl anyways."
"And how do you know that to be true?" She frowned. "Everyone was dancing at that party."
"Not you taking up for him too." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not taking up for him. I'm just saying. He didn't get all mad when you were dancing with other people."
"That's the point Tiny." I mumbled.
"What did Nelly and I tell you?" She sipped from her glass. "I think the two of you should focus on just being friends for now. Nothing more. You're almost done recovering from Joshua and he's trying to recover from a quick marriage." She rolled her eyes. "That girl is slow I tell ya'."
"At this point, he can date and be with anyone he wants to. I really don't care anymore."
"Not you trying to act all hard like y'all wasn't cool." She playfully rolled her eyes.
"I really don't care anymore Tiny." I smirked. "Kinda."
"I thought so." She laughed. "You better be careful for what you ask for. Somebody gone snatch him up while he on vacation living his best life."
"How so?!" I smiled.
Holding up her phone, she showed me a picture of him.

"I don't care Tiny." I slowly pushed the phone away from me.
Sitting my card down, we both looked at each other and laughed.
"You such a big flex."
"What do I say Tiny? I take it back? I want us to be friends again?" I heavily sighed. "Other than you and my siblings, I feel like he really gets me Tiny."
"Don't talk to him because I want you to. Talk to him when you're ready." She nodded. "When you know that the both of you can sit down and talk things out with each other.
"It's my fault."
"It's double sides if you ask me." She shrugged. "And when y'all do, you don't have to cut Chris off either."
"I'm not." I smiled. "He just makes me feel like I'm floating on cloud nine." I giggled to myself.
"And I'm happy for you." She smiled. "I want you to enjoy your dating life."
Although everything was going smooth with Chris, I still couldn't deny the fact that I still had feelings for someone who was slowly becoming a best friend to me.
