"Oh Devilsnakes, this child is one of those, isn't it? It's a...it's a..." Seokjin put down three year old Taehyung as far as he could from himself before he gasped, "it's a happy baby."
The toddler giggled, finding amusement in the strange man's vivid expressions.
"Lord of Hell, such joy is burning my eyes, my ears, my very being!" Jin exclaimed.
"Awww you're so precious," Namjoon cooed, letting Taehyung poke his dimples curiously.
Namjoon figured it would be a good distraction and hopes it lasts till he is done with changing Taehyung's diapers. But as he took a step after picking up the toddler from the top of the grandfather clock that Jin had put him on, Namjoon tripped.
Hoseok, Jennie, and Jin shrieked.
Yoongi jolted awake. Those three could put Banshees to shame with that noise.
Jimin spilled the milk formula.
Jungkook dived, wrapping the toddler in his chest and arms safely.
Jungkook stood up. Then he swept a disappointed gaze at his fellow Sins and exhaled deeply. Checking his watch, he said, "I don't think our assignment is supposed to end within 3 hours. I expected more helping hands because there are seven of us but all of you are just..."
Carrying the still giggling Taehyung in one arm, Jungkook dropped a pile of child care books with his other, "read these."
Jungkook looked at Jin and Namjoon pointedly, "don't put mortals on high platforms or carry them if you're naturally clumsy. They're not like us."
Jennie picked up the books, "why am I not surprised?"
It is just like Pride to be the best in what he does. Of course he had done his research.
Unbeknownst to her, Jungkook is struggling in Taehyung's room. Knowing the theory is one thing, but everything needs practice.
Jungkook pulled on the latex gloves and raised his hands, palms facing himself as if he is the head surgeon of a major operation. He stared down at Taehyung and the diapers the mortal is wearing.
Taehyung broke out into a large beam and cooed at Jungkook.
Jungkook pressed down the quirk of his lip and hardened his jaw. Do not get swayed. This is only an assignment.
Let's do this.

The first time the Sins learned to not use their powers carelessly was on their very first day.
Taehyung had taken a sip of the milk formula prepared by Jimin and all seven Sins watched with fascination as Taehyung stopped smiling for the first time, donned on a look of confusion, then pulled out the sippy straw from his mouth. Taehyung frowned and pouted, "no-no."
"Why is he not drinking?" Jennie flipped through a book from the pile and instructed, "check the temperature again."
Jin took the bottle and squeezed a drop onto his wrist, "feels alright."
Jin offered the bottle to Taehyung again who turned his head away.
Hoseok tried, "come on, baby. You have to drink milk to be strong and healthy."
Jin nudged Hoseok out of the way, "let me try."
Jin addressed Taehyung, "Baby, you're feeling hungry and you want this milk very, very much."
"Are you sure you should use your powers like that?" Jennie asked. What if the mortal didn't want the milk for a reason?
"It's good for him and he's drinking," Jin shrugged.
"Shit, Gluttony, make him stop!" Jimin tried to pull the bottle away from Taehyung who is now drinking viciously but crying at the same time, fat tears dripping down his face, his stomach bloating uncomfortably from drinking too fast and the taste is—
"The taste is worse than the stench of burning flesh, what the heck! Wrath, you only had two ingredients. How did you manage to make this poisonous concoction FROM WATER AND MILK POWDER!?" Jennie almost passed out when she tried the milk. No wonder the mortal was so against it.
"WAAAHHHHHHHH!" The loud wail from the mortal directed the Sins' attention to their tiny charge and started a fresh bout of panic and chaos.
Taehyung had vomitted every drop of milk back out and was sobbing pitifully, now tired and hungry, but not wanting to drink something as vile as the milk he had earlier.
"What should we do? Sweetheart, don't cry," Hoseok panicked as he took a tissue to wipe Taehyung's face.
Taking care of an orphaned child as his guardian demons might just be the toughest assignment their lord had ever given them.
The top brass of Heaven and Hell peered through their viewing glass. They are rightfully concerned over their collaboration. Should they step in?
"Everybody stop!" It was Yoongi who interrupted the bickering between Jennie and Jimin, stopped Hoseok who is doing a poor job of removing vomit from Taehyung's clothes because Jin was rocking Taehyung side to side to stop the crying, and startled Heaven, Hell, Namjoon who was trying to make a new bottle of milk but spilled the powder and Jungkook who returned with a fresh set of toddler clothes.
Yoongi walked over to Taehyung who forgot to cry and looked at him with widened eyes. Who is this? Then, Yoongi held his hand and Taehyung fell asleep instantly.
"You," Yoongi pointed at Jin, "should know something about food and you'll prepare the meals from now on.
"Envy, no touching the baby or his stuff and keep a distance of at least two feet from the mortal. Go earn money.
"Pride," Yoongi yawned as sleep crept up on him, "main caretaker.
"Wrath, bodyguard.
"Lust, voice of reason and keep everyone else in check.
"Greed, playmate.
"And I will..." Yoongi stumbled and slurred as darkness claimed him, "I will..."
Yoongi slumped against the couch, eyelids fluttering shut. I will make sure the mortal grows up healthy and happy.
The rulers of Heaven and Hell nodded in satisfaction. This looks like it is going to work. They closed the viewing glass and that was the start of the Seven and Taehyung's chaotic lives in the human world.
