Chapter 5 is finaliy here!!

After climbing down they made their way back to the picnic blanket, only to be shined by the scene that was presented in front of them.

Virgil was clinging onto Roman who was bouncing him trying to provoke a reaction out of the miserable looking side while Patton was trying to help Janus get through an apology to Virgil.

Everyone stopped what they were doing when Logan cleared his throat, "What in the world is going on here?"

"yeah we were gone got like 5 minutes and Virgil looks like someone died"
This dragged everyone's eyes down to see the anxious side whimpering softly into Romans neck, curling and un-curling his grip on his shirt.

"I said something stupid and he hasn't said or moved since, he was throwing a tantrum and wouldn't stop screaming and I just lost it" Janus looked down with a guilty look while Patton rubbed his back comfortingly "You didn't mean to kiddo, remember we're all still new to this even Virgil,"
  Janus just let out a long sigh and looks across at Virgil but with the angle he was on he could only make out the up and down motion of his breathing with a hitch now and then.

The new arrivers each took a place on the blanket when Thomas spoke up, "he's right Janus we're all still learning and there will be a few bumps like now but we'll find a solution to it starting right now! So what did you say to him?"

"I- um I told him if he carried on we'd just go and um leave Melman here... UGH it was so stupid!" Janus didn't realise he started shouting until Virgil started squirming

"Hey dishwasher gloves it's fine it was an accident the little Prince is just uncomfortable" Princey answered chuckling towards the end. "Roman, can you please turn Virgil around so we can talk to him" "Got it pocket watch !"

Roman gently removed Virgil's claw grip on his shirt, causing louder sobs to be heard, and softly turned Virgil's body around but Virgil get his face firmly turned in his neck.

Logan took Virgil's hands from Romans into his own to taking a quick moment to marvel at the size difference. "Virgil sweetie can you look at....mama for me?"

There was no reply except from the sobs quieting down. "Virgil mama really wants to see that beautiful face of your, so does Melman he misses you a lot" At the name Melman the anxious sides head snapped up and the sobs cut off mid way as Virgil's eyes locked in on the giraffe starting to whimper again.

" 'E-elmum!!" Virgil quickly reaches out to take it but stops, thinking he wasn't going cause he was holding Logan's hands patton pipes up "Virgil sweetie Daddy doesn't think mama will be upset if you let go to hug Melman I think you both need it"

Virgil still didn't move instead he looked up frightened at Janus debating whether to ask or not. Eventually he worked up enough courage to speak however quietly it was " u-um m-mu-mummy-y?" This caused Janus to look at Virgil shocked but managed to tone his emotions "yes honey?" The younger side looked over at Melman then to Janus fidgeting.

"P'-p'ea can m-m'lmun come home?" Immediately another wave of guilt filled Janus while everyone looked on sympathetically "baby bat we were never gonna leave him here, I'm sorry I scared you I just meant to warn you of the consequences acting out like you did might cause.."

Virgil looked happy then a bit confused until a hopeful look finally settled "s-so 'elman Can stay?" Remus finally decided to stop eating the picnic and hep out "yes of course he can midget!" "Mm not migit!!"
"No of course your not my prince were royalty!" This elicited giggles to once again happy boy who now looked very worn out.

"I feel very out of place.." Everyone's heads snapped to where Thomas was sitting awkwardly. " 'omas!! I misses yoooouuu!!" The sides including Thomas chuckled at the littles outburst " I missed you tooo!!" Thomas shouting back leaning over to pick Virgil up and place him sideways on his own lap.

The rest of the afternoon was spent having a picnic and getting to know little Virgil it was interrupted once for a diaper change but then everyone went back to eating and laughing.

When the imaginations sky started going dark everyone packed up excluding Virgil and Thomas, who had Virgil asleep on his shoulder, and started making their way back after making sure everything was packed.

When they got back they skipped unpacking to be dealt with in the morning and instead decided to all get in their pj's and watch a movie while Virgil was still soundly sleeping on the couch with Melman and his pacifier.

Hey guys I'm extremely sorry for how long I've been away so I decided to do a longer chapter to try and make up for it 😅 I'll try and update quicker as my school is breaking up soon so I'll be able to do so.
