I glanced over at Y/N every now and again. When she caught me looking she cast worried glances back. "W-why are we headed back to the caravan???" Y/N asked as we walked. "Didn't you look through the drawers and chests there?"
"Um... was I supposed to?" I laughed, "Guess not.""Look through the drawers until you find a vial of pink liquid, or even a glass of the stuff. Either will do."
"... You're looking for something to drink while you're bleeding out???" Y/N questioned. "Trust me. You said I could lead you." She sighed, "Fine. I'll get looking."After a few minutes of Y/N rummaging through the drawers she finally took out a flask."This it?" she asked, holding out the liquid. I nodded. "Bring it over here." As she did so, I brought out two glasses, one larger than the other. "Pour it into both."
"Wilbur what will this even do?"
"It's a potion. Long story short we can get this thing healed using it."
"H-how the hell???" She questioned. She poured the potion into both glasses, the liquid swirled within it, it's scent bringing a calming aura to the room. "W-why do I get one? Shouldn't you take it..?"
"You got scratched up quite a bit. And got close to being stabbed as well."
"It's not my fault Tommy can't aim... but still, you're in more pain right now." she said, handing me her glass.
"I couldn't possibly take this from you-""Wilbur, just do it." she told me nonchalantly. "A-are you sure?" She nodded, letting me take the glass from her hands. I drank the two bottles, placing them back on the desks once I was done. A sense of ease washed over me as I swallowed the last drop.
"I-it's not doing anything...?" Y/N whispered. "Oh it is, it will just be slower than usual due to the severity of the wound... by next morning it should be back to normal." I explained. "Does it hurt??"
"Not currently, it just feels numb, thanks to the potion of course." She nodded, still looking doubtfully at me."Will you go rest now?" she asked. "Not particularly... I still have duties to attend to, and besides, I don't really a place I can."
".... are you saying you don't have a home?"
"We're standing in it." I said in a joking tone. "Wait... what did you do last night then? Since I was using t-"
"Don't worry about that. You needed rest more than I did." She pouted, "Dude, you need rest. Especially since you're apparently healing the wound."
"But what about my son and-?"
"I can handle that, you're not equipped to fight. And hell, since I know that we have potions for healing I can actually be of some use."
"Y/N, seriously you don't have to-"
"Not saying I have to. I want to and I'm going to. So just stay here." she said, walking up to me and taking my glasses off. "What are yo-?"
"Can't fight if we can't see now can we?"
".... you do realize they're just for reading right?" I asked her.She looked down and cursed under her breath. "J-just stay here. Seriously, you're the leader of this place, I think that at least gives you a right to rest." I laughed, "I guess so?" She flashed a light hearted smile, "Good. Rest well Wilbur."
(P.O.V Change)
I ran back towards the fight, only to see Tommy and the others walking back towards the heart of L'manberg. "H-hey!! Guys!!" I called out towards them. Fundys ears perked up as he heard me. I walked over to them and waved. Fundy growled as I did so. "Uhhh... hi?" Tubbo waved back while Tommy scoffed. "Where's Wilbur?" Fundy practically spat. "Oh, he's resting in the caravan. He just drank a healing potion so-"
"Whoah what?? Wilburs actually resting???" Tubbo asked, surprise seeped through his voice. "Uh yeah? Why do you sound so shocked?""It's just Wilbur never wants to rest. He's always going on about how he has 'duties to attend to' or 'how justice waits for no one'... cheesy bullshit like that." Eret explained. "Seriously? I mean... he kinda put up a fight but he agreed to rest so...?"
"Okay now you're just lying." Fundy said. "The Wilbur I know wouldn't rest for a minute even despite being hurt."
"He-hey I'm not lying tho-" Tommy groaned loudly, "Okay yeah yeah, this is great and all but shouldn't we get moving? Like who cares if Wil's resting or not."
"Apparently they do." Tubbo said, referring to me and Fundy. "Oh wait! Eret, you said you found materials for the wall right? Do you want to go and grab them before we head back?" Tubbo offered. Eret nodded, "Sounds like a plan. We'll meet you guys back at L'manberg." He said before leaving with Tubbo. "Well then... I'm gonna go patrol.." Tommy said before basically running away. "Y/N." Fundy said in a demanding tone. "Uh yeah? What's up?"
"Take me to Wilbur.""W-why do you want to see Wilbur so badly??? Do you seriously think I'm lying when I said he's resting??" Fundy nodded as his ears twitched. "How come?"
"Like I said, he never rests. It's just werid to think he would agree to do it, let alone to someone he doesn't even know." Fundy said with a sigh. "Well, like I said he's resting in the caravan..." Fundy rolled his eyes, "I'll believe it when I see it.""Hey! Don't go in!" Fundy turned around before opening the caravans door. "Why?" he asked. "Wilbur's resting!" Fundy rolled his eyes, "So what, you want me to peek through the window or something?"
"Can I just say I hate this?" Fundy said as he tried to look through the window. "You know you could just stop?" Fundy sighed, "Goddammit..."
"What is it?"
"You were actually right..." I cocked my head. "Uh yeah??" Fundy stopped peeking through the window and looked back at me. "How'd you manage to do it?" he asked. "Uh.. I asked politely?"
"That's total bullshit and you know it." I shrugged, "Is it really so forigen for him to actually get rest?" Fundy nodded. "Wait.. you don't have a place to stay do you?" Fundy asked me. I shook my head, "Nope, but that's fin-"
"You can take my house for tonight.""H-huh!?"
"Hm? What's the matter?" Fundy asked. "A-are you sure? Don't you need rest after that fight?"
"It's fine, you actually got my dad to rest for once. So I kinda owe you-"
"Awww you called him your-"
"Don't even think about telling him I said that." Fundy sighed as I laughed. "Fine fine... w-where's your place by the way?"
"Follow me."Fundy left me alone in his place, so naturally I stood there looking around awkwardly. I couldn't help but notice the pictures he had around the place of him and the rest of L'manberg's members. I saw pictures of Tommy and Tubbo trying to annoy Wilbur and Eret along with photos of Fundy in Wilburs arms. I flashed a soft smile as I lied down. And soon enough, everything went dark.
