Mia Figg was a normal 15 year old girl. Or that's what she told herself. She was the granddaughter of Arabella Figg but she grew up at her grandmothers house because her parents had died when she was very young.
Her Grandma was a squib. As was her mother and her father was a muggle. Her grandmother had been delighted to know that the magical gift had returned to the family in Mia.
They found out she was a witch when she was 7 years old. Her best friend Harry Potter who was a year younger then her and when his relatives had locked him in the cupboard under the stairs Mia had managed to get him out.
When Mia was 11 she got accepted to Hogwarts. She sent letters to her grandma to give to Harry often but the next year she was overjoyed that he had been accepted as well.
Mia was ecstatic her next friend would be joining her because she hadn't made many friends in her class. She was in Ravenclaw and she wasn't friends with any of the kids in particular so it was exciting to find out her best friend would come and be there with her.
But when he got there he never noticed her. He was famous and popular and Mia was shy and invisible. Harry completely forgot about his childhood best friend Mia.
Over the summers sometimes he thought about her but decided against finding her. He assumed she had moved away since after he went to Hogwarts he never saw her.
Slowly over time Harry began to forget about Mia, and Mia began to give up on Harry. If Harry had remember her, he would've rang her doorbell, if Mia had thought something would change, she would've rang his doorbell. But Mia watched Harry become popular and Harry didn't notice Mia.
And that's how friendships end.
