Nathan liked Cat. But not the likeliness of her charisma or sweetness, but her calmness that soothed Nathan.
He liked the smell of her hair, the way she walked and how her hips would sway. Of course they had already… bedded. But there was that hunger for her still, that craving for another night together.
"Nathan…" Curtis had called after him. He was in the door of the bathroom where Nathan assumed the others would be waiting.
As if the bathroom is of high secrecy, Nathan thought to himself.
"What? You want me to hold your hand? Well sorry, mate. But I've already seen it so see ya," Nathan turned around to head outside where Cat had been waiting for him. Since the day was over, he didn't want to reserve any time that involved drama or problems.
"No Nathan it's- Wait, what?" Curtis was disgusted, "Just get in here, you prick,"
Nathan was considering heading out anyway, but the worried look on Curtis' face had stopped him.
Besides, the 'meeting' will only be a few minutes, right?
"Fine. You had me at prick," Nathan remarked and followed after Curtis into the bathroom.
Kelly and Alisha had been discussing something, but none of them were smiling.
Neither was Simon, as usual, "What's going on?"
"I'll just get to the point," Curtis began looking panicked, "Cat has a power,"
"She does?" Nathan asked, "Well at least she fits into our group then, huh?"
"You're not getting it. What if she's dangerous?" Simon asked Nathan.
"Has she done anything?" Nathan asked, "Didn't think so," he said without waiting for a response.
Curtis nodded, "But I turned it back," this grabbed Nathan's attention, "Before the Probation Worker could… you know… I burst into the room and saw Cat and her eyes had turned red. I freaked out like, but that was when I changed it," he took a breath, "Before… She killed the Probation Worker. I don't know how but I walked in and saw broken pieces of the wall and door and concrete… and then the cops came-"
"Holy shit," Nathan said, Curtis didn't have to continue, "This better not be some weird joke,"
"I have no other reason to talk to you," Curtis said that mildly hurt Nathan's feelings.
"That's true. So what are we going to do?" Nathan asked them.
Simon stepped forward, "I think we should stay normal. If we have good intentions she won't hurt us, unlike the Probation Worker,"
"Sounds good to me," Nathan said turning on his heel to leave, "See ya!"
