Anyways happy birthday Childe <3

Childe PoV;

Ah yes, today's my birthday.
Another year of suffering survived.
And being in an familiar yet unfamiliar place making it worse.
I can't celebrate my birthday with my family which makes me a little sad.
I already can imagine the sad faces from my dear siblings and even from my parents.
I really wish I could celebrate with them.
I always did.
Celebrating such events always felt better when you had your family around you.
I never celebrated with friends, it just felt wrong.

I sighed.
Making myself ready for the day I left the small house I'm currently living in.
Zhongli wanted to meet up with me today.
I don't really know why tho.
After that contract we didn't really met.
It's always been like that if we saw each other we talked a little but nothing more.
So I'm kinda surprised that he wants to meet me.
But first of all, the meet with Traveller.

Going to the Golden house, they (not gonna choose between Lumine or Aether) already waited there patiently with Paimon.

"Oh! There you are!! We've been waiting for such a long time for your arrival."
Paimon already blurted out.

I chuckled lightly.

"Sorry for the long waiting, well then shall we?-"

Before I could even ask for the weekly battle they gave me a small package with a little smile on their face.

"Happy Birthday Childe"
The traveller and Paimon beamed.

I opened the small package and it was a bracelet.
With an ruby stone on it.
It looks like those in dragonspine.

"It's self made! We found that ruby in dragonspine in one of those chests! Paimon were freezing so much for it, so I better hope you're gonna wear it!"

"Thank you guys, I appreciate that effort a lots"

I put that bracelet around my wrist and smiled.
Which kinda caughts me off is the fact that they knew that it was my birthday.
I didn't told anyone about it.
How could they know..

I shook my head.

"Anyways.. how about we forgot about our weekly fight for today, instead we're grabbing some food together, sounds good right?"

Paimon and the traveller both nodded and with that we walked to the Wanmin Restaurant.

We ordered food and talked a lots together, I even helped with their daily commissions for the Guilde.
It was a pretty fun day not gonna lie.

Eve came in quite fast and with that I remembered I still needed to meet up with Zhongli.
Excusing myself by the traveller I made my way to the wangsheng funeral parlor.
He usurped helps Hu Tao there.

Opening the doors I immediately saw Zhongli, he was smiling.

"Ah I already thought you forgot about the meet up but I'm glad to see you here."

I just shrugged it off and told him that I was helping the Traveller.
Zhongli nodded.

"Childe, I know it may be weird that I asked for us to meet but it had a reason."
He said.
"I wanna know you better. You seem like an interesting guy to be honest.."
He smiled at me.

It kinda caughts me off that he's saying that all of sudden but I nodded.

"I would like to meet up lots more in the future if it's fine to you."

I grinned.
"Of course of course if you want to sure."

I chucked.

"Good..."
He walked towards me, his eyes were fixed on mine.
"Here"
He gave me a small box.
"I've heard that it's ur birthday today so of course I needed to buy you something.."

I opened the box and it was an earring matching to the bracelet that the Traveller gave me.

"I've noticed that your ear is pierced but I never saw you wearing and earring so I thought it would be a good gift. I hope you like it."

I smiled warmly.
"Thank you.. the earring looks lovely"

"The Director, Hu Tao, also helped me to make an cake if you want some."

I nodded.
Cake sounds awesome right now.

And with that, Zhongli and I ate cake and talked until night broke in and made me leave to my place.

Even if I couldn't celebrate with my family my birthday it still was an amazing one.
Maybe I should celebrate more often with friends..

Happy birthday to Childe ahhh
I kinda got sad because of his letter because he mentioned that Dragonspine reminds him of Snehznya :/
