After the fun of roller-skating, you had grown more comfortable initiating plans. You had attempted to make some with your three friends, wanting to go get boba or study somewhere on campus.

In the group chat, Nobara said she had a meeting with someone important. Yuji said he was going to get coffee with his mentor, and Megumi never responded.

Who knew that their responses (or lack of) all aligned? You decided to go study off campus at the local cafe. With your laptop bag and comfy leggings, you were ready to finish that paper you had been procrastinating on.

Except the coffee Yuji had mentioned was at that shop. And the "important meeting" Nobara was attending was right there too. Megumi, who never responded, happened to be with them. They were in the corner of the store. Nobara and Yuji's loudness made it feasible for them to be spotted.

You knew that they would not intentionally exclude you, but it did not stop you from wondering why they did not say they would all be together in the first place. The line had a few people ahead, which gave you time to think about what to order.

Apparently, you were staring at them, because the guy in front of you turned to face you. He could see your gaze in his peripheral vision.

"Do you know them?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, I do."

"Ah, are you Fushiguro's girlfriend?"

Your eyes widened. "No!" Does he have one?

The tall man must have read your mind. "I'm just playing. Megumi-chan doesn't have a girlfriend. What's your name?"

"I'm y/n, Nobara's roommate," you confirmed. "And friends of Megumi and Yuji."

"Pleasure to meet you y/n," the man wearing dark sunglasses grinned. "I'm Gojo - their former teacher."

Gojo began talking to you about how long he's known the group. Apparently, he's known Megumi since he was a little boy, and you couldn't help but giggle at some of the stories Gojo was sharing.

"-and Megumi was so embarrassed! We didn't know he was just giving the poor girl directions. Yuji made it seem like he was getting hit on and we wanted to protect him-"

"I can help the next guest!" the cashier called.

You were laughing so hard. It caught the attention of some others in the store, so you covered your mouth to suppress the noise. Megumi's head shot up at the sound, and he saw you laughing and walking next to Gojo, who had just offered to pay for your drink. You usually would say no, but he insisted, and you knew he was someone important to your friends.

"y/n's here?" Yuji asked.

"What's she doing with Gojo-sensei?" Megumi groaned.

"Is he buying her a drink?" Nobara chimed in.

Megumi frowned. His eyes followed you as you walked with Gojo to the waiting area to receive your drink.

"Did Gojo-sensei invite her? Is this some sort of trick?" Yuji asked. "Do they know each other? Is she a - a jujutsu sorcerer?" he whispered.

The endless conclusions were being drawn.

"So, what do you think of Megumi-chan?"

Gojo was too blunt.

"He's really sweet," you responded a few seconds after, wondering why he had asked. "Him and Yuji are really nice and fun to be around."

For a moment, Gojo tilted his face down towards you. His glasses slid down, in which you saw his eyes. He was trying to read your emotions, and he smirked when your eyes met his cerulean eyes and then made its way to the ground.

"You have pretty eyes," you smiled.

Megumi narrowed his eyes in the distance.

"Thank you, y/n-chan! You know who else has distinguishable eyes?" Gojo adjusted his glasses. "Megumi."

You tried to not smile as wide, but the man next to you was smooth, whatever his intentions were.

"Those dark blue eyes remind me of the ocean," Gojo added. "Don't you want to swim in them?"

"When you say it like that-" you looked away, giving a nervous chuckle. "But he does have pretty eyes."

Gojo laughed. "Sorry, Megumi-chan is just an eligible bachelor and I'm just embarrassing him. And now you. I'll stop."

The two of you picked up your orders and you thanked Gojo for your drink. Eligible bachelor? This man that you've known for a total of three minutes cannot already be setting you up with Megumi.

You began to walk towards the exit.

"You're not going to say hi to them?" Gojo asked. Megumi will be upset, he's been looking over here the whole time, he thought.

"Oh, they looked busy, so I didn't want to bother."

"Nonsense," Gojo shook his head. "You're their friend."

You awkwardly walked up to them with Gojo grinning widely behind you. "Hey guys."

"Hey!"

"Hey."

"'Sup?"

"I just came by to study," you adjusted your laptop bag on your shoulder. "Didn't know you all would be here."

"You can join us," Gojo offered, ignoring the panicked look he received from Megumi.

You knew better to intrude on their plans though. "No, I'm okay! I'm just going to study outside. See you guys!"

They waved you off before you turned around. The short interaction felt weird. But instead of overthinking it, you chose to put it aside. Maybe they were stressed about something.

To your surprise, you were fairly productive. You had forgotten your friend, roommate, crush, and their ridiculously attractive teacher were in close proximity.

You stayed for about an hour before heading out.

The entire time you were there, Megumi kept glancing over. He thought he was subtle, but Gojo was very perceptive.
