Gaibotsu Games: Archaic Chapter 44 - Broken Promise

It had been a few days since the fight in the forest. Wataru allowed himself to have the crimson curse, Nozomu died, and Chuuji was left in critical condition. Kumarie was under Ozawa Theatre in Magh-Arcadia's base, thinking about these events. It was a dark night, and everyone else in the city was asleep. Rhelizar was also in the room in Ryoka's body, looking at Kumarie with a grin.

Rhelizar: "So, Nozomu is dead... her life was nothing but agony from what I could tell, this must have been a relief for her."

Kumarie: "She was foolish to sacrifice herself to save that flaming brat. Nozomu died as nothing more than a tool, a broken one at that. Although, as poor of a tool as she was, her foolishness was nothing compared to that of her lover... Shirogane Wataru."

Rhelizar: "Shirogane Wataru... he willingly took my crimson curse, trapped himself in a cave, and never got anyone's blood on him... so now he became a ghost. I believe that is worse than death, no one will ever be able to see you or hear you... it is an eternal limbo."

Kumarie: "What he did was make his forces weaker. Now, they are all at a major disadvantage... two of their members are one, and one is in no shape to fight."

Rhelizar: "It seems that going after Nozomu was a good idea after all."

Kumarie: "So now we are back on the agenda, getting the remaining relic Gaibotsu so you could regain your true power."

Rhelizar: "And when that time comes, it will be magnificent!"

Kumarie: "When I battled Nozomu, Shirogane, and Kiriyama... I unleashed a lot of my power... I never thought I would have to do that, but it seems even my tolerance has limits."

Rhelizar: "They were the only ones to truly make you mad, correct? How interesting..."

Kumarie: "Unleashing my true power was a grand experience and will hopefully be a warning to them, but I won't need to do it when facing Kaiousei and his motley crew."

Rhelizar: "I have a lot of faith in you, Kumarie. I am certain that you will not fail."

Kumarie: "So what about you possessing Toyohira Ryoka? When you obtain your true power once again, will you need to continue possessing her?"

Rhelizar: "I won't need a vessel when I obtain my power again, but I want to continue using Ryoka's body afterwards, because I just want to see the looks on their faces when they realize that they have been with the enemy from the very beginning. Ryoka doesn't even know she's possessed... to me, that's the best part."

Kumarie: "I see... so Rhelizar, just where are you from? You are not of this world, having arrived millions of years ago... where were you before you came here?"

Rhelizar: "Ahh, I suppose I'll tell you something about myself and my race as a whole. My planet was known as Zidek, and we were Zidekians."

Kumarie: "I see... What was your planet like?"

Rhelizar: "Zidek had plenty of sandstorms, and our village of strong stone homes to protect us from these vicious storms. As for our culture... we had several aspects. Having triplets is a sign of both good and bad luck, with the first born said to become the strongest, while the third born is considered weak and is killed instantly."

Kumarie: "What happens to the middle triplet?"

Rhelizar: "Nothing happens to the middle one, but no one will ever think highly of you. The first born is always considered the strongest... I'd know, I was a middle triplet and everyone spoke highly about how strong my brother would become."
