"Your good work has restored us to our former strength, Ezio. We are ready to strike" Antonio said as Ezio walked into his office first as I followed behind him. After Ezio had finished his training with Rosa I had assisted him in freeing Antonio's locked up thieves, stealing a few archer uniforms as well. Ezio had explained of a plan Antonio devised but he hadn't been sure yet himself as Antonio had yet to explain it but we would soon find out tonight. As soon as I walked through the door Antonio's eyes widened just a bit as he seemed to hesitate. Ezio and I walked up to a large table with a model of Venezia atop it, Ugo and Rosa at the end of it as I stood next to Ezio and held my head up "Adelina... It is wonderful to see you. There were rumors of your death in Firenze, an explosion... Where have you been? Ahh, never mind that. Grazie Dio you are here your help is just what we needed. Your company as well""I needed everyone to think I was dead, hiding in the canals under the city for a year helped pull off the lie. But we are not here to discuss that, are we" I answered as Rosa only stared at me while the men remained oblivious.
"Just tell me what needs to be done and I'll see that it is" Ezio said, getting straight to the point. He really had changed but I knew part of it had to do with fully avenging his family. He was balancing, he was still in training after all. Antonio nodded as he gestured to the model, gesturing to a few places.
"Your approach from above under the cover of night. Emilio has archers posted around the Palazzo. Kill them. But do so quietly. As they fall my men shall replace them" Antonio explained. It was a smart move so long as it was executed smoothly.
"What about the guards?"
"When you finish with the archers we'll regroup in front of this building here - and discuss the next step" Antonio said as he pointed out a building not to far from the Palazzo.
"Nessun problema. We'll take care of the archers and return to you" Ezio said as he nodded a bit. Antonio looked between the two of us as Rosa only scoffed underneath her breath. Antonio smiled a bit. (Not a problem)
"Are you two partners?" He asked "if so I would count yourself lucky. Not everyday someone in your position gets to work with a grandmaster assassina"
"Something like that" Ezio answered back as Antonio walked around the board and towards him.
"Then it's settled. La bocca al lupo" Antonio said as he patted Ezio's shoulder, Ezio returning the favor.
"Crepi il lupo" Ezio said back before Antonio looked at me.
"I am grateful to see you alive Adelina, when I heard the news I didnt want to believe it myself. But now that you are here we have a lot to discuss- and I may have something that would interest you" Antonio said. I only nodded as Ezio and I left. What could Antonio have that would possibly interest me? His trade had been in information so what had he heard that I hadn't? Clearing my head I had focused on the task at hand, following Ezio up the building and onto the roofs as we made our way towards the Palazzo, the moon shining brightly upon us. This was going to go smoothly.
Approaching the Palazzo Ezio and I split off, him taking one half as I took the other. I moved quickly and quietly as I jumped onto the roof in front of me, using the few chimneys as a wall to cover myself. Once the first guard approached I had swung around and hid behind him, readying my blade before I reached around and covered his mouth as I shoved my blade through his back. The man struggled a bit, fighting, before his body gave up and he slumped to the ground. I laid him down gently as one of Antonio's men quickly got onto the roof and took his place. Giving each other a slight nod I took off towards the next archer, one by one they fell with ease as they hadn't seen what was coming. At least they had gone quickly and did not suffer, aiming only for the vitals that would make it instant as more men came up to replace them. Eventually I met Ezio in the middle, only a bit of blood on his face as he did.
