The Light in the Darkness

12: Safe again (I think)

Natasha POV:

I heard her tiny voice yell and I stopped fighting her for 2 seconds and she escaped. We ran after her but she got herself stuck. I looked at Yelena and Carol, then looked back at the young girl who was now in a ball, in the corner. The poor girl was terrified and broken. Wanda walked over to her and sat by her. Jack tried to back away but was too far into the corner.  

"Baby, we aren't going to hurt you please let us help you." Wanda looked down at the young girl. I knew that Wanda was about snatch her. Jack just shook her head. Wanda quickly grabbed the girl against her protests and starts to hum a song. She nodded to Pepper and Pepper grabbed a small needle with a type of anesthesia in it. She gives it to the scared child and she slowly drifts into sleep.

We walked onto the quinjet and the boys looked over. They looked at the unconscious child in Wanda's arms. Bucky looked over and had a sad smile on his face. 

"What happened to you Nat, you have scratches all over you." Steve looked over concerned. I didn't realize that I had cuts from Jack, "They got in her head. She is terrified of us." "What?" Bucky looked at the young girl who was now on a table with Bruce and Tony looking over her. 

THIRD PERSON:

Bruce lifted up the Jacks sleeve to put an i.v in her arm, "Oh my god!" Everyone looked at him worried for what he saw. "That son of a bitch." Tony looked at the other arm. "What! Whats wrong, what did they do." Wanda was shacking. "They cut her arms, they are pretty deep, definitely need stitches." Bruce was grabbing stitches from a drawer.

They arrive at the compound, and rush her inside. Bruce finishes up and walks out of the medical unit. Wanda, Bucky, Natasha, Carol, Maria, Hope, Yelena, and Valkyrie where waiting for him and Tony to tell them they could be with her.

"She is awake and hide in a corner. She is terrified and I don't know what they did but her blood has a higher percentage of potassium and other stuff like what Steve and Bucky have in their blood." "So they gave her the serum?" Bucky was about to murder someone,  anger was flowing in his veins. "Yes but no. She doesn't have the same thing that was given to you guys. its more like some of the same ingredients but with a spice." Tony now came out of the room.

"Spice? What do you mean." Wanda gave a confused look to Tony. "Well you see Queen of chaos when she got spooked and hid in the corner everything stopped for second and no one could move but her, and everything she moved. But I was frozen." "You're saying she can stop time." Nat worried. "I would say freeze time, cause if you freeze something it will unfreeze. If you stop it will stay stopped unless someone plays it." Bruce butted in, "You can go see her if you want."

Jacks POV: (I had a really good first paragraph then it deleted so I'm gonna try and rewrite it.)

When I woke up I saw Tony and Bruce standing near me with a paper in their hands. They where studying it. I sat up and they looked over at me. Tony took a couple steps towards me, "Hey, looks like Tiny J is up." I got freaked out and ran to the corner of the room and huddled up in a ball. Something felt weird when I ran but I didn't care. Bruce then left the room shortly followed Tony. 

I started to rock slightly trying to calm myself down. I heard murmuring from outside of the doors and I knew they were talking about me. I started to hear his words, "You will always hurt people."  I started to murmur his words, "I am always going to hurt people. I am worthless. I am scary." I had tears running down my face and I was breathing unevenly. My eyes burned from all the tears and I looked up. I saw a face. It was him. He walked over to me and I screamed. I yelled and screamed knowing someone could hear me. 

Natasha, Wanda, and Bucky ran into the room. Wanda ran towards me, but she didn't see him. He was right in front of her. Why doesn't she see him.

"You're ok. I'm here no one is going to hurt you. No one is here." Wanda ran up to you and sat infront of you. Bucky was checking the room and Natasha stood behind Wanda. "Why don't you see him." I sobbed. Wanda and Natasha looked at each other. "See who?" Natasha looked concerned. I just put my head down and looked at the floor. He was here. I know he was. 

I heard Wanda get up and leave with Bucky and Natasha and I quickly walked over to the bed, that had a long heavy red and beige tiny striped blanket. It was around 5 6 length and 4 10 width. I had gotten the blanket out of my closet one of the first days and now I only used it. I waddled over to the corner with the blanket dragging, and moved a square, wooden table into the corner. I wrapped my self in the blanket and curled up in the corner facing the two white doors.

I must've fallen asleep because when I woke up Hope and Maria where sitting on the ground near me. Hope was reading a book and Maria was twirling her hair facing me. I look up at them and Maria nudged Hope. I scooted myself as far back into the wall with the blanket covering my hair, body and mouth, all you could see were my eyes and nose. 

Hope looked up from her book and smiled at me, not a happy smile, more like a oh you poor thing smile, "Jack, you know you can trust us right?" I look down. "Remember movie day. And when we went shopping." Maria grabbed a stuffed animal from behind her back. I had read about the animal before. One of the doctors told me it was a polar bear. She sat it near me. 

I look at her and move my arm and grab it quickly. I set the bear near me under the table. "You like it?" Hope pats the ground closer to them. I nod and slowly move closer. "Great, kiddo." Maria encouraged. I smile knowing that more than one person cared about me. I moved closer to Hope and grabbed her hand. She looked shocked that I grabbed her hand and grabbed my tiny body, which was still in a ball wrapped by a blanket, and placed me in her lap.
