y/n and this boy has been talking to each other for the remainder of the time until the school bell rang.

"what's your name?" the boy asked, giving a slight smile.

y/n really didn't feel anything towards him.

another lifeless friendship.

fake it, y/n.

"i'm y/n. and you?" she said softly.

"i-i'm itsuki." he said, looking down and holding the back of his neck.

y/n found this interesting, why is he so nervous?

was he just like this,
or was it something else?

"whats bothering you?" y/n looked his directly in his eye, causing him to feel vulnerable to her.

"akiyama." he said quietly.

"oh... well you could sit with me at lunch if you would like, itsuki." y/n said, not feeling anything of the sort to what he was pouring his heart at.

"really?" he looked up, hopeful.

"yes, of course." she gave a faint smile.

maybe he's not too bad.

lunch

————

y/n met itsuki outside under a tree, shading him, and hiding him, from the sun and akiyama.

y/n walked over to him and sat down next to him.

"is this where you usually eat? alone?" she asked, making it sound like she was concerned.

he hesitated.

"yeah.." he said, sounding disappointed with himself.

"maybe i could eat with you everyday." she rested her hand on top of his.

he noticed and got extremely flustered and he let out a gooey smile.

his face was full of blush as he failed to hold eye contact.

ah.

a crush.

i wonder what that is like?'

niragi swallowed hard and sat more upright.

"that-that would be great!" he sounded extremely happy.

1 week went by

"ahhahahah! y/n!" itsuki laughed at the selfless joke y/n had made about akiyama.

"well, he is shaped like a cone." she let out a slight giggle.

"thank you..." itsuki smiled.

y/n looked at him.

"thank you, for being there for me. i-i enjoyed this past week. you know, you are the only person who would talk to me." he gave a sad smile.

y/n felt a ting in her heart.

what was that?

what did he just make me feel?

she brushed it off and gave a genuine smile, for once.

it felt weird.

"no, thank you. you made me feel like, like maybe there i something worth living for." y/n returned her gratitude for him.

he went in for a hug.

he felt warm, it felt...

nice.

y/n slowly wrapped her arms over his shoulder and embraced him back.

————————————————————————

about 2 weeks and a half went by and he was so comfortable with y/n, it was obvious she made him feel like he was supposed to be in this world.

y/n on the other hand, felt something she hadn't felt in a long while.

loved.

and she might've had a small crush on him back.

she tried to conceal and forget about it, like shoved it down into a deep pit where her 'feelings' were as well, but it always seemed to come back up.

she didn't want to feel like this.

she hated it, but she loved it.

she didn't want to like him,

it had only been 2 weeks.

that's why she was so excited when her father announced that they were moving 5 hours east.

she felt sadness, somewhere in her extremely intelligent brain, and she felt happiness. and,

and
love.

that's why she found it hard to tell niragi, as she taught him defense mechanisms towards the cowards that bullied him.

it was her last day at school, she didn't even bother to tell her other 'friends'

instead she marched up to itsuki, with and expressionless face.

"itsuki." she demanded for him.

he turned, once again his face lit up, that is what he did when he saw her.

y/n had noticed that, and she felt something go off in her brain.

sadness.

she felt a sting in her throat as she looked down.

"y/n? are you ok.?" he asked, embracing her.

that's when y/n felt it.

hot, wet, disgusting, wet ducts fall from her eyes.

she hated crying.

crying was weakness.

why was she crying? she had only known him for 2 weeks!

as though it felt like forever.

itsuki looked surprised and his happy face soon turned back to sad as she lifted her head up from his chest.

"im moving." she said squinting her eyes.

"wh-what?" he asked.

"i'm moving, 5 hours east." y/n said, wiping her tears and pulling away.

y/n was the only person who seemed to understand itsuki.

i think he actually loved her.

he felt his chest go cold and his throat go hot.

he looked down and the tears started rolling down his cheeks.

she was his only friend, his first ever crush, he felt pathetic over crying someone he only knew for 2 weeks, well 2 weeks and a half.

"don't waste your tears on me, itsuki." y/n stated sternly as her tears disappeared.

"i'm not worth it. we have only known each other for 2 weeks. you will find another friend, just be confident in yourself itsuki." she sighed.

"but-but you were the only person willing to actually listen to me, to talk to me, to hang out with me! i've known it's-its- only been 2 weeks but- i need you here." he sobbed.

"i'm just not worth it, itsuki. please, do me a favor. don't wait up for me, enjoy your life. talk to people, don't let them get to you." y/n simply stated.

itsuki wiped is nose and sadly agreed.

"o-ok.. i promise."

"goodbye, itsuki." she said, then slowly walked away.

it felt better now.

until..

she felt someone run up behind her and twisted her around to face them.

it was itsuki.

then he pulled her in close and their lips met.

y/n's chest feel warm and it felt like things were swarming her insides as he held her close to him.

his hand was culled around her face while his other hand was wrapped around her waist.

the kiss lasted for about 1 minute.

he released her and said.

"i love you."

y/n gave one last smile and walked away.
