This same routine of 'shadowing' only continued for the next 3 weeks, which might as well have been infinity. I still seem to be a wall-flower to everyone with the only thing setting me apart is me being 'the new girl'. However I do get straight looks off other girls as I have joined the 'elite gang' quicker than they could ask who I was, but trust me I would happily swap with them in an instant.
It was a dreary Sunday morning, well I say morning but it's about 12 am... still too early for me. I had put on my baggy grey joggers and scraped my auburn mess of hair into a high bun. Just as I was staring at the mediocre body with day old makeup smears, looking back from my mirror, Chelsea barged in (yea we room share now, joyous days.)
"Where do you think your going dressed like that?!" She exclaimed, looking me up and down with a look of disgust painted over her face.
" I was just going to get bre-"
"Day old pizza! I don't think so, come here so I can pick out an outfit for you."
I trudged over to my wardrobe where she was throwing around my clothes, I knew there was no winning with her, so I let her pick out an outfit. After a painful 10 minutes of disagreement of fashion choices we were finally ready. No matter how much Chelsea annoys me she can eventually create a rather nice look, I mean for my petite body.
"Were are we actually going?" I asked
"You shouldn't have to be going anywhere to make an effort, you should always look good. But that's beside the point, WE are going to the mall for a decent breakfast, other than the excuse of toast they serve here". I knew by 'WE' she meant I will be tagging along with her followers like a dog and I'm only there to keep her company on the bus, but at least I could get some knew makeup brushes as mine are like stones. Oh god i'm becoming one of them...
-------------------------- At The Mall--------------------------
We met the girls at Starbucks and just gossiped, which included me sometimes joining in when Amy asked me a question, replying in one word answers and funny looks off the clones. However amiss all my horrifying boredom I was able to people-watch (a favorite hobby of mine) and I saw a mess of electric blue hair appear at the window across the store.
It was only shortly after the girls went simultaneously to the toilets to 'powder their nose' or do some synchronized peeing, that I realized who the hair belonged to. I scribbled down on a table napkin that I forgot to by my mum a birthday present, and rushed out to where I last saw him.
I had only been wandering round one shop when suddenly a unidentified object ( it was just a ball of paper) flew toward me and hit me straight in the forehead. After seeing no-one who threw it, other than the suspicious old woman in the corner, I reached down to read what it said.
"Couldn't help noticing how bored you looked, meet me at the bus stop in 10"
There was still no-one around, I'm really beginning to suspect that granny.... Oh no wait.... it was a guy, would make sense. Well at last there was some excitement in this dismal life of mine.
