Shhh... (Shout In Silence)

CHAPTER 5

I was about to get it when I got interrupted. "Baby Girl! 'Andito na si Madam! Bilis, tara na!" Ate Beauty shouted quietly. I panicked, so I immediately put back the cardboard and the other stuff inside. After that, I closed the box and the closet.

My eyes landed on Barney and they went wide when I saw the black notebook, the small black box, and the thermometer.

"Oh, my..." 

'I forgot!'

I was hesitating if should put it back or my Mommy would catch me. "Baby?" I heard Mommy's voice, and I gasped.

'Why is she here so early?'

"Baby Girl, tara na, bilis! Malilintikan tayo nito, eh..." Ate Beauty impatiently whispered and peeked inside.

What I did was: I placed the stuff on Barney's tummy, and I hugged him, enough to hide the things on my chest. Things that weren't even mine. When I got out, Ate Beauty held my right hand and we ran away from that room, then we pretended that we were playing hide and seek before Mommy caught what we did... what I did.

'That was close... I'm so sorry for lying, Mommy, and... Jesus—if You are really true and existing. I'll never do it again—promise. Peace.'

I was sitting on my bed in my room, staring at the stuff that I took, in front of me. I was thinking about what should I do about the things that I accidentally took. I knew I should return it there, but I was also curious about the content of the notebook.

'It can be interesting, and... I can learn something... right? Or not?'

The thought of learning something was more exciting, so I kept it. I convinced myself to keep it, and I did.

I sighed. I reached for the black notebook before opening it. The first page was blank, so I flipped it to the second page.

I was very happy when I read the few first pages. My heart melted because I saw my name on it. She said I was so cute and adorable. It made me happy.
