What's Brian Got to Do with It?

"Aye, aye, aye! I don't want to hear about none of that. Please don't tell me you did what I think you just did. PLEASE don't tell me you told Jess you'd help her with a divorce. What happened to being in love and staying in love with them? You do it with Carmon-"

"You wouldn't know anything about what's going on right now if it bit you in the ass. If this is what Jess wants, why can't she have that, Brian? Her relationship isn't like mine and Carmon's."

Hell no, Jess can't do this because Trent must've forgotten who we're talking about here. We're talking about two women who's been together for longer than ten years; longer than Carmon and Trent, Tiff and Bryce, and me....and whoever I'm meant to be with.

It's as if Hell froze over and God told the devil to have his people. You never hear about Jess and Jana leaving each other. That's why they got married, for Pete's sake.

Jess and Jana aren't meant to get a divorce. They're like a lesbian couple's goals. The type of married couple that you'd never picture a divorce for. That odd couple you thought would never last but end up proving you wrong.

Not to mention, if they're getting a divorce, it's not fair to Jana. From what Jana told me and what I could piece together, Jana was shot for no reason. She may have messed up a while back but her marriage meant much more to her than everyone else thought. So, Jess is leaving her for no reason. Jana hasn't had her eyes on any other woman unless it's for business so what's really going on with that feisty chipmunk?

What's got Jess thinking about divorce anyway? Where did that pop up from? Besides the fact hat Jana cheated a few times, what's the real reason why she's just now thinking about this shit? If she didn't want to be with Jana anymore, why did she marry her?

Divorce should be the last resort for the both of them. This doesn't sound right to me at all. Why the hell is Trent offering his help to Jess with this divorce thing? This is supposed to be the lover guy we're always going to advice for and he suggests divorce? Why break up a marriage you know nothing about?

Since he's Mr. Love Machine, he should know how this works. He's the expert in love like Cupid so he should be encouraging them to work this out somehow. They've done it before.

"They're meant to be together, Trent. If they get a divorce, it wouldn't last that long. You and I both know-"

"Don't go there, Brian. You're the last one that should be giving advice on this. What divorce have you experienced before? What marriage have you been in? You can't even talk about who should be together. You can't even pair two shoes together, Brian, because of your track record. People do get sick of each other and, Brian, Jess may be tired of Jana's mess. She may want something more."

Like what? What else can Jana give her that she hasn't already? These past five years, she's done everything in her power to keep their marriage together. What else does she really need to do?

"It happens, Brian. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help her? You can't make two people be in love if they aren't meant to be," Trent sighed at he ran his long-ass fingers through his nonexistent hair. Kidding, but he's got this mohawk thing going on like he's still in his 20s.

Anyway, he'd be the good friend that'd help them stay together because they're meant to be together. They're like the lesbian Mulan and Li Shang and you can't tell me otherwise. They have such a strong connection so why would Jess be leaving her?

That's it! Everyone's in their relationship and the more they listen to us, the more they want to leave each other. Somebody's telling them one thing in one ear and someone else in the other ear. They just need to sit down and talk to each other one-on-one instead of doing things on their own.
