I shivered at the memory... an explosion killed all of my family and friends that I'd ever known... but somehow, I wasn't. For some reason, I wasn't killed like everyone else, even though I was the nearest to it. I woke up in a bright white room. I didn't understand how I got there, but the only person who stayed by my side the entire time was a boy... called Dylan... "hey beautiful" I heard him mumble as he stroked my cheek. I was dumbfounded as red rushed into my cheeks. My single crush was standing right next to me! His mum was just getting some lunch for them at the time, so we were alone... together... I was 10 then... now I'm 15. "Hey beautiful", I heard a familiar voice, as I jumped backwards, a yellow aura clouding my view, as he was pushed back, away from me. He grunted as I ran over to him, crying "oh God, I'm so so sorry" as he got onto his haunches. "I see that you're getting better at controlling it then", he said, grimacing from the pain. "I still don't think that this is the correct explanation for all of this" I replied, smiling. You see, he has an idea that my emotions overpower my being, meaning that any strong emotions will cloud me in an aura of some sort, forcing unnatural things to happen. But if that is the case, why is it only strong emotions? Why can't I show emotions like hope and faith? That is why I don't think that his theory is correct. I wish that I could just stop running... stop running from the life that chose me... but if I do that, I'll get caught, and then what? I'll be put in prison for something I didn't do... Either that or I will be taken away from the one person who has looked after me since I woke up... the person who I just hurt... a green light filled my vision, as his grimace turned into a relaxed smile. "You know that I'll always be with you, even when we're apart right?", He asked me, his eyes widening. "Of course, "I replied, smiling back at him. "Ah hah, I found you!" I heard a voice, as I looked up at him... "boys, I found her", he called, motioning to the others, as he grabbed my arm to prevent me from escaping, as I heard a shout...
