Dear Diary,

Everything has been a mix up. Late last night some rode up behind me with their horse. I freaked out went running but he caught me. I wasn’t scared though. The voices were more sensitive than vicious, like they wanted to help me more than hurt me. One of the men, he was younger than the other, told me I could go back to sleep it would be awhile ‘till we got there but where? I did listen to him and sleep was well needed. A few hours later he awoke me and we were at a building. What kind of building well I soon found out. He helped me down but I couldn’t really walk well by myself good. He let me lean mostly on him for the help until we got inside. There were people just like me; some I felt like I knew them which were weird because the only people I have been around was the people with Mr. and Mrs.Amison. The man led me to a nurse who seemed like she was waiting for me there. He told her about how I couldn’t walk and she took a look at it. She told me I had sprained it. This made think about when I was running from them I tripped over a rock and that’s how they caught up to me. She told me I had to leave it in a wrap for a little while but then it would be good as new. She was a nice middle aged lady. She told me where I could go for a cot to rest up on and the younger man led me to it. He reminded me so much about Nathan and it made me think about him once again. He must have known that I was thinking about something that made me upset because he asked me what was wrong. I then told him the story about Nathan and he seemed relieved to hear it which confused me a lot. He showed me a picture of a young boy about my age and it looked exactly like Nathan. He asked me if this was the guy I was talking about and my simple reply was “yes” that was all I could say at that moment. I asked him how he knew Nathan and he told me Nathan was his younger brother. That Nathan was the one out of their family of brothers to go fight in the war that was soon to be happening. I was happy to hear that I found someone who knows Nathan because this might give me a chance to actually talk to Nathan again. He told me his name was James and he had two other brothers. In order it is Mike, the oldest, James, Nathan, and Daniel, the youngest. He told me Mike and Nathan was the ones of the family who got sent off to war. I then felt like I actually had someone I could depend on here. James asked me if I had anybody waiting for me here and I suddenly remembered my grandparents. He went to get me some food and told me I should try to sleep.
