The whole town was a mess and people were rightfully afraid, their loved ones were ripped from their arms and for 28 years they've been forced to live in an amnesiac haze, cursed to be the Evil Queen's puppets, and every time Mira thought about it, it enraged her more than before.

The brunette tried to help as much as she could, setting up handmade flyers of lost loved ones, giving out necessary supplies to the now homeless people of Storybrooke. After the disaster the Wraith left in its path, destroying many homes and cars, the least Mira could do was offer as much as help as she could.

Did she forget to mention the most recent terrible news they'd received? Ah yes, the town line was now officially out of their options, since they all had been subjects to the Dark Curse. If any of the residents tried to leave the town, they would lose all their true memories, and this time it would be permanent. As much as Mira wanted to rid herself from this town and Regina, she wasn't exactly thrilled to live the rest of her life as a closeted Botanist who was afraid of her own shadow.

If the town wasn't in panic mood before, they surely were now with this new revelation coming to the light, and they looked to their Prince for a plan of action. They needed guidance back into their lives or whatever's left of it. However Prince Charming was left as clueless as the rest of them, and Mira could sympathize, he'd lost his family to a portal to god knew where and neither were sure if the two women even survived the trip.

"People of Storybrooke, I know we're trapped again and things look... bleak. But... they're not." David was standing in front of a mirror back in Mary Margaret's loft, practicing an inspiring speech to deliver but he was failing poorly at his attempt and even if Mira wanted to laugh and tease him, she didn't have it in her.

"No. Keep going. You were on to something." Henry encouraged his grandfather, seeing the man sigh because of his failure.

"No, I wasn't. I did the fighting. Snow did the talking." He explained to the young boy and walked away from the mirror towards his best friend, who sat behind the kitchen counter, observing the destroyed hat David brought back.

He placed a comforting hand on the woman's shoulders to perhaps calm both of their racing minds, when Henry spoke up again gaining their attentions. "Can I see that?"

Mira nodded and gave the almost demolished hat to the young boy. "Yeah."

Henry took the hat in his smaller hands, before an excited and knowing glint shone in his brown eyes. "I think I know what this is." The boy jogged towards his backpack and brought out the famous storybook that contained all their lives, he turned over pages until he landed on the one he had in mind as the two friends stood beside him. "It's the Mad Hatter's hat. It's a portal between worlds."

Mira frowned in confusion as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Mad Hatter is here? In Storybrooke?" She asked the young boy.

Henry nodded his head. "You've heard of him?"

A faint smile grew on her face at the mention of the man, she'd crossed paths with him a few times back in the Enchanted Forest. "Sort of." Unfortunately, last she heard of the man, he was stuck in Wonderland, a different realm than theirs. So she was fairly confused as to why would Regina bring him along.

"Well the Prince-me doesn't know him, but David had memories of reading 'Alice In Wonderland' in school." David said as he observed the written words more closely. "I need to get it to work again. Who is he? I mean, who is he here?" He asked the two.

"Uh I think his name is Jefferson in here, but I don't know where he is." Mira answered the Prince.

Henry backed her up. "Maybe he'll check in at the crisis center. You could check after the thing."

David frowned in confusion, not taking his eyes off of the painted picture of the Mad Hatter on the book. "What thing?"

"I know being a grandpa is exciting and all, but I didn't expect you to be this into it." Mira joked causing the young boy beside her to giggle.

The little boy looked up at the Prince, reminding him of his afternoon plans. "The meeting where you tell us all your plan? Remember the speech you were doing?"

David finally looked up from the storybook in realization. "Right. I'll be back for that." The man picked up the hat and motioned for his friend to follow him. "Come on Mira."

But before either could exit the loft, Henry stopped them. "Gramps, Ronnie, you gotta use me. Come on!" The young boy pleaded with the two practically clutching onto Mira's cardigan sleeve. "The curse was broken 'cause of me! Let me help!"

Mira sighed crouching down in front of Henry, plastering a kind smile on her face as she took the boy's hand in her own. "I know Henry, and believe me we would love for you to help us, but right now I don't think David's in the right state of mind to consider your offer and I need to keep him in check before he does something stupid." Henry's shoulders slumped in disappointment. "But next time I swear we will bring you along, okay?"

The young boy only nodded his head, knowing that arguing with the pair would get him nowhere, and let the two adults leave the loft in search of the Mad Hatter.

"It appears when I bought that 'closed' sign, I was just throwing my money away." Gold muttered distastefully, upon hearing the pair's arrival.

Mira flashed him a sarcastic smile. "Yeah, guess so." However she clenched her jaw before she could say something that would, either result in her death or losing the chance of finding their missing Hatter.

Gold turned around to fully face the two, clutching the cane in his hands. "Sorry to hear about your wife and daughter. If you're looking for a retrieval, I'm afraid portal-jumping is just outside my purview."

     "Of course it is."

A tense silence took over the three in the shop, with Mira glaring at the man who ruined her life, and David keeping a hand on the woman's wrist, before it was broken by Mr. Gold. "So what's the commotion outside?" He asked the two friends.
