'Then why have I never seen her?' Dante asked.

'Because you are not friends with her,' Nicoletta answered.

'Can you two stop bickering during dinner?' their father said.

'We're not bickering.'

'No, were not.'

Their dad let out a sigh and put his cutlery down.

'What is this about then?'

'Nicole has an imaginary friend.'

'She's real.'

'You made a new friend?' father asked Nicoletta before Dante could say anything. 'What is her name?'

'Olivia.'

'That's a nice name. When did you meet her?'

'Never.'

'Dante, be quiet.'

Dante chuckled at the sight of his dad. He tried to look strict, but all three of them knew he couldn't. He was a fun dad, so whenever he tried to be the strict dad it didn't do much.

'When did you meet her, Nicole?'

'Yesterday. And I met her again today.'

'And you had a good time, I assume?'

Nicoletta nodded.

'I did,' she said. 'She hums a lot. Her mom makes good sandwiches.'
