This is one of the few films which portrays Jewish queer characters and it is based on the events taking place during a Shiva.
Be prepared for a lot of drama and awkwardness because that's what happens when you put your ex-girlfriend, your sugar daddy (with his family you didn't know about) and many over-bearing relatives under one roof.
I personally cringed and got second hand embarrassment at a lot choices made by Danielle but I loved that the main character was flawed and basically a bisexual disaster.
I aslo loved how biphobia was subtly portrayed in movie. Although her parents and relatives supported and loved Danielle, they also invalidated her bisexual by calling it a phase or that she was just experimenting.
I don't know how to describe the end of the movie. On one hand where we get to see some hope of reconciliation between Danielle and Maya but on other hand the aftermath of the events that took place in the Shiva was unclear.
