"I didn't miss you," I whispered and slump back to my seat.
I heard him chuckled as he glances at me. Hindi ko naman siya pinagbigyan ng tingin. My heart is in too much chaos right now, dadagdagan lang iyon ng mata niya.
I need to have a talk to my heart about this. I can't be feeling this way towards him. I can't possibly be. But I also assume that my feelings are all because of hatred. Kaya siguro ganito iyong nararamdaman ko.
He really did me wrong. I didn't forget that. I forgot the feelings and all but that truth, I don't want to forget. Because that's the only thing that would keep me from thinking and having undying feelings for him back then and until now.
"Did you enjoy the party last night?" I heard him asked.
My eyebrows slightly knotted, "How did you know I was at a party?" I asked, slightly turning my eyes on him.
"I heard," he replied casually.
Hindi naman ako naniwala agad doon. I sat straight and looked at him.
"From?"
"Someone." He looked at me.
His eyes were glowing, or at least that's what I'm seeing. His long eyelashes were brushing softly against his cheeks as he blinked slowly.
I rolled my eyes and get back to my not so comfortable seat.
"It was fun," I answered and looked in front.
It was Paoline's birthday yesterday. It was held in a bar, and she invited us. Sinabi ko naman kay Cali na i-clear iyong schedule ko because this is the first time that I'll be on one of their birthdays.
"Really? Your boyfriend is there?"
"Oo," I replied, not seriously thinking about it.
I felt him shifted on his seat and looked at me. Nanatili naman ang tingin ko sa harap.
"You said you don't have a boyfriend."
"I never said that."
"Astrid," his tone became stern and serious.
Hindi ko naman iyon maseryoso. Dahil hindi naman kasi totoo iyong sinasabi ko. I bet I'll be trembling in fear if I have done him wrong. Kagaya noon. Tumingin ako sa kaniya at ngumiti.
"What, Giovanni?"
He sighed, and his jaw moved. I don't know why I find that very... distracting! I cleared my throat and blinked.
"Bakit ba?" my voice slightly raised.
"Stop playing with me," his tone is all serious.
Kahit pa tingin ko, halata naman na hindi ako nagsasabi ng totoo. He can't see beyond me. I was about to say more naughty things, but his serious face turns into an angry one. Hinarap niya na ako na kahit pa umiwas ako ay walang magagawa iyon.
"Hindi ako nag bibiro, Astrid. Huwag kang magsinungaling sa'kin."
My mouth gaped. Is he actually mad? And? Nagsisinungaling? Right! I almost forgot!
"You're calling me a liar again! Hindi ako liar! You're so bad na!"
He sighed loudly. Looks like he's out of patience, but his lips are not producing any harsh word that I think he wants to say. His eyes are in flame, though.
"Are you nagagalit? Don't give that look!" I roared.
"Yes, I'm angry!"
Humarap na din ako sa kaniya. Did he just raise his voice? At me?
"Why? Why are you galit? Alam mo last week ka pa ganyan!"
"Right! Last week." his eyebrows furrowed more. Tingin ko, ngayon palang siya talaga nagagalit. "You announce to everyone you have a boyfriend!"
My mouth ajar, literally. Hindi ako nagkapag talk ng mga ilang seconds.
"I didn't!" I tried to mock him with my laugh, but his dark and burning eyes were scaring me!
Why is my heart beating rapidly? It hurts my chest!
"I was watching, Astrid."
Napakurap ako ng ilang beses. I kept looking into his two eyes. Palitpat lipat. Parang laging may bago akong nakikita, kahit wala naman.
"Why are you watching?" my voice calmed down.
"Because I want to see you," he answers rapidly and sighs loudly after. "Don't change the subject."
"I'm not!" I shouted. Naalala na nagagalit nga pala ako. I even crossed my arms at him.
"Oh gosh, you two!" rinig kong sigaw ni Cali. Napalingon naman kami ni Giovan sa kaniya. "Can you please lower it down? Huwag kayo dito mag LQ!"
"We're not!" I fired back, "Inaaway niya ako!" Turo ko kay Giovan.
Cali groaned. "Wala iyang boyfriend, Giovanni. Pwede ba? Manahimik kayong dalawa diyan! Puyat ako!"
I licked my lips and looked at Giovan, who's clearly watching me.
"What?" galit kong tanong.
Umiling siya and sighed slowly, napataas naman ang kilay ko. I rolled my eyes at him and moved away.
"Don't be mad..." he whispered.
Lalong nangunot ang aking noo.
"You're the one who's mad! Inaaway mo nga ako!" I tried to lower down my voice, "You know what? Hindi ka magandang ka-trabaho!"
He combed his hair through his fingers and tried to hold my arm after. Iniwas ko naman iyon.
"Fine. I'm just upset." He moved closer, slightly whispering.
Mahirap siyang kausap. Ganoon na siya dati, right? But he's more complicated now!
"Bahala ka na nga diyan. I'm getting annoyed lang." I flipped my hair and moved away from him.
I heard him chuckled and moved to me. Ugh, so kulit!
I slept for about eight hours straight. Ganoon din si Giovanni. Feeling ko talaga mas pagod siya sa akin dahil mas matagal ang tulog niya. He was even startled when he woke up. Natawa nalang ako.
His eyes were so sleepy as they immediately landed on me. Hindi pa ako kumakain dahil ayaw ko naman magising siya kapag dinalan ako ng food. He looks really tired. His red eyes were even puffy when he opens it.
"Kanina ka pa gising?" he asked in his husky voice.
"Mag-one hour na," sagot ko.
"Did you eat yet?"
"No. I don't want to wake you up," I whispered. "Baka magalit ka na naman sa'kin."
He smirked. "Hindi naman ako nakakatagal magalit sa'yo."
Hindi ko nalang siya pinansin.
He called for an attendant and asked for the food. She smiled and diligently served us. Good thing we're on a private plane. Enchantress made everything comfortable for us. Marami din naman kaming kasama from Enchantress. Mrs Givera will be there on the launching day, I think.
