Calum drove us to his house in his blue Jeep Wrangler. Personally I'd always loved Jeeps and wanted one, but my step-father would never allow me to get my license let alone a car.
"Can we listen to One Direction on the way there? Please?" I asked, throwing him a glance from behind my black sunglasses. I didn't peg him for the type who listened to 1D.
"Sure!" He smiled, handing me the end of the aux cord to plug into my phone, which I had fully stocked of every song the boys had ever recorded.
"YESSSSS!" I cheered, I love listening to their music.
What Makes You Beautiful started playing through the speakers. The sound system in his Jeep is amazing. We sang at the top of our lungs and jammed out until the song ended.
"You would like this song." Calum laughed as it ended. His laugh was enough to make me melt.
"It's a fantastic song!" I said.
"It's okay!" He argued.
"Calum I will win this argument. You might as well give up!" I said, trying hard not to give away the smile tugging at my lips.
"You and Mali are going to get along great. You both like to argue with me." He said. I could see the amusement on his face behind his sunglasses.
"Of course. We're going to double team you and then you'll regret ever introducing us." I giggled. The look on his face was that of pure terror and amusement rolled into one look.
"So. Why are you so excited for me to be going to school with you four?" I asked him, half hoping for a vague answer.
"Well. Why are YOU excited to go school with us with us?" He retorted.
"That's not fair, I asked you first." I shot back with a quickness.
"Too bad. I'm older." He said, smirking. He's really trying to play the age card...
"ERNT. Wrong. I'm older. JANUARY." I said, playfully smacking his arm and continuing. "Because I'm excited to get to know you guys better." Hoping he'd believe that was the only reason.
"You already know us. You know me almost better than your brother." He said, his eyebrow raising.
"I know, but I mean like, it's different. Getting to know you four when you're with just me is a lot different than being around you guys at school. I'm interested to see if you guys are different to me at school."
"We wouldn't be, and you know that. At least, you should." He said, turning to me with a serious look on his face. "Don't you believe me?"
"I do. I just. I dunno. Never mind, forget I said anything. Can we go meet Mali?"
"No, wait. Please tell me why you don't think we'd treat you the same." He said. I couldn't even begin to explain.
"Because now you lot know the truth about me and when school starts you won't feel obligated to hang out with me as much. I'm sure you've got other friends." I told him.
"We do have friends. And you'll be joining us when we hang out with them. You're seriously one of our best friends Gracie. We love you." Calum told me. Just then we heard the front door open and saw whom I presumed to be Mali-Koa run out.
"Baby brother! And you brought a girl home?! MOM! CALUM BROUGHT A GIRL HOME. IT MUST BE SERIOUS." Mali sing song shouted back into the house.
"I guess we should go inside." I smiled at Calum, glad he could no longer question me.
"This isn't over." He smiled, kissing me on the cheek. He then got out of the car and came round to open my door.
"Awe always the gentleman." I smirked at him.
