Heeseung turned and stopped up at the calling of his name shocked. How did he find him? Heeseung hadn't left anything that would suggest where he was. Was this a soulmate thing? Finding each other?
"Heeseung!" Jay's voice called out again and this was Heeseung's chance to disappear. He knew Jay was still far away as his heart hasn't stopped which meant that Jay didn't really know where he was. He could still get away.
Heeseung turned in the direction of the stairs to get back into the treehouse to collect his stuff and put a clocking spell on the building. Then once that was done he could run away as far as he could. Just as he was about to step on the first step he heard the 'whoosh' of the wind, his heart suddenly stopped and a soft voice calls out from behind him.
"Heeseung don't go"
___
10 minutes earlier.
Jay continued to run around trying to find some indication of where his soulmate was. He was now completely soaked head to toe but that didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was finding Heeseung. And talking to him. Without the presence of Heeseung's father. Whatever Heeseung wanted Jay was willing to do. But he would only do it if he was certain that that's what the older wanted.
He began to roam around the areas where the trees were thicker, thinking the older might of found an escape here. As he made his way the familiar vanilla scent came back. It was so faint that part of Jay thought he was imagining it. But imagination or not Jay followed it. It was better than going off of nothing.
Jay quickly found a path and ran down it towards the mountain. The rain made everything slipper, especially as he was running upwards. Despite this, he didn't let it stop him and ran up the mountain at full speed. The higher he got the stronger the scent was - despite it still being really faint - and he began to call out Heeseung's name whilst keeping his ears open for the heartbeat of the other. After all, Jay was a vampire and his hearing was impeccable, if Heeseung wasn't close enough for his heart to beat again then he would listen out for Heeseung's heart.
"Heeseung!" He called out loudly, knowing the other would hear him.
And he was right. Jay heard the jump of heartbeat and he turned in its direction. The wind blew at the exact moment Jay was hit with Heeseung's scent and knew exactly where the redhead was. Jay took on running again down multiple paths callings Heeseung's name again as he heard the older's footsteps nearby. He stopped next to a waterfall and river and saw that Heeseung was about to walk up some steps. Thinking that the older heard him and was trying to run away Jay spoke to him.
"Heeseung don't go"
Jay watched as Heeseung went still and rigid. He didn't turn to face Jay but the blond knew that he would be listening. The very fact that he was standing there as if he was waiting for Jay to make a move told Jay that he had a chance.
"Please, can we talk?" Jay tried, taking steps towards Heeseung, glad that his soulmate wasn't moving away but saddened at how he kept his back to him.
"I don't want to. I don't want to talk about it " Heeseung whispered, head down, it being the 'soulmate situation'
"Alright then. We don't have to talk about it. We can talk about something else" Jay tried as he stop when he was an arms-length from Heeseung.
