I was sleeping peacefully completing my sleep which can't be completed in any lifetime of mine until my mom came in.
"Kunal! Get up its 10:00 am already." My mom shouts pulling my blanket.
"Mom, 5 more minutes! Please!" I groan with my eyes still close pulling the blanket back.
"No more minutes, just get up. Don't you have to go on a movie date with Sirisha?" She says and I swear I could feel a smirk on her lips even if my eyes were closed.
My eyes flutter open wide the sleep vanishing from it, in a split second.
Did she just say Sirisha?
How did she know?
And did she just say date?
Shiv Ji! Inke dimag mein kya chal raha hai!
(God! What's going on inside her head?!)
"What? What did you say?" I ask in a heavy husky voice from just waking up.
"Nothing, brush your teeth and have your breakfast." She says behaving oblivious to what just left her mouth.
"Mom! That's wrong." I yell.
I know she knows. But how?
I open my WhatsApp Messenger and open Sirisha's profile. Her profile picture has her photo in which she is wearing a tight tank top giving a perfect view of her curves. Her head is tilted to the right, her hair falling over her chest, with a sweet smile tugged on her lips and an ice cream cone in her hand.
Oh My! She and her obsession with ice creams.
I quickly type the text and rush to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Kunal: Good Morning Kitten!

"Phew!" I blow out, bloating my cheeks.
After a three-hour study session, I completed four chapters of maths I had doubts in. I woke up at 7:00 a.m.
I pick up my mobile to check the time and see a notification from an unknown number.
I open WhatsApp and see the profile picture of the sender. A wide grin appears on my face and it lightens up.
It feels like confetti is shot up in the air with a lot of fireworks.
It's Kunal.
It was on New Year when he last messaged me. That too on Instagram.
Oh My God! Is crushing on someone that bad? I even remember the day when he last messaged me.
Kunal: Good Morning Kitten!
Sent 4 minutes ago.
Did he actually wake up 4 minutes ago? It's 11:03 a.m. right now. Did he literally sleep till almost noon? This boy is unbelievable!
Sirisha: It's gonna be noon in one hour sleepyhead.
He comes online and starts typing in seconds.
Kunal: A good morning would have been appreciated.
I laugh at his reply.
