|| Hyejin POV ||
Ever since their debut I've followed all of NCT. But when I saw Jeno, something in me lit up. And I know that sound ridiculous but it's true. He's my bias in Dream.
Today would be my first day to meet him, and all the other NCT members. I wanted to make a good impression on the boys so I made cake for them this morning. It took 3 hours. I woke up extra early to make it. I made it from scratch using one of my aunt's recipes and decorated it the best I could. I had to spend money on a taxi as bringing the cake while on my bike would absolutely ruin it. I put it in the fridge when I arrived to work and as I'm the only one working during this shift it works out perfectly. I look at the clock and see that it's time for me to leave and head to the boys practice. I change out of my uniform and into my casual clothing that is a little more "preppy" than usual. I spray myself with some perfume but no to much and try to fluff out my curls.
"Okay. Now's the time. You look good Hyejin." I say to myself
My heart was beating through my chest.
I call Ten
|| PHONE CALL||
"Hello?"
"Ten Im down stairs. In the café. You can come get me now." I said
"Alright I'm on my way."
I quickly grab the cake out the fridge and as it's kind of large it's heavy. Thank god that Ten came right on time or I would've dropped the cake.
"Hi Ten!!" I say
"Hey Hyejin"
I love hanging with Ten, I can speak in English with him which is my native language. I usually speak English only with my other family members but they're in America so having English speaking friends is the best.
We get past security and go into the elevator
" you know ten im really nervous. Why did you invite me here?"
"I know you don't get out much because of your anxiety. I thought it would be nice for you to make some friends."
"Thanks for thinking about me. You guys are my only friends if I'm being honest..."
"Hey!! Don't worry about it. We're always here if you need us." He replies with a genuine voice.
As we got closer to our floor I shook more violently. My heart started to beat faster and it felt like I was short on oxygen. My head felt like it was beating. Every noise I heard was getting more faint and my pupils felt like they were in a violent earthquake. I could feel beads of sweat forming on my forehead. I felt hot and my vision was getting blurrier.
It was the beginning of a panic attack.

|| Ten POV||
As I look over at Hyejin I can see her expression. She was shaking and sweating. I became extremely worried I place the cake on the floor and try my best to help.
"Hey are you alright?" I asked concerned
"I- I- he- help me" she said with wide eyes
Right then and there she passes out and hits the floor with a loud bang.
I panicked and press the fire button. A loud ring goes off. Finally the elevator reaches our floor and I quickly drag Hyejin out the elevator and grab the cake. I hold Hyejins's head up and see that she's bleeding.
"HELPPP!" I scream as loud as I can
"Everything's fine. Everything is okay. You'll be okay." I say trying to comfort her passed out body. She appeared lifeless.
I check for a pulse but didn't feel anything. I press in her neck harder trying to find a pulse and I still find nothing.
I open her eyes and she's that she had ruptured blood vessels.
"Please please wake up. Please" I was so worried. My friend might not wake up. I could feel the tears forming in my eyes. I was scared. This was all my fault.
"HELPPP!!"

|| Taeyong POV ||
We were warming up for practice and finally Wayv arrived.
"You guys are late!" I said jokingly
"Sorry. Yangyang woke up late so we had to wait for him." Kun explained
"Oh um guys we have something to tell you." Ten said
Everyone heads turn to their direction
"So I uh. I may have invited someone..." Ten says
"You cant do that... This is the first practice for our 2021. It was a secret." Jaehyun said
Everyone starts discussing
"Okay guys!! Calm down. Who did you invite?" I asked
"Our friend... She's really nice and a really good secret keeper. I'm sorry for not telling you guys. But please try to be nice to her, she's really shy. I promise she won't tell." Ten said
There was silence in the room
"Fine. But you should've checked with everyone first!" I said laughing
Then we got to practicing. Time passed and after an hour or two Ten left to go get this friend he invited.
But he should've been back now...
"HELPPP" we hear a faint scream.
"Did you guys hear that? Johnny says
"HELPPP" we heard it again
"There it is again." Mark said
"I'll go check what it is." Hendery said
"I'll go too" Lucas added
"Everyone else stay here." I added.
They left and we continued practice
It had been a while and they hadn't came back.
"Where are Lucas and Hendery ? It's been 20 minutes." Says Chenle
Just when Chenle finished his words we see tired and out of energy Hendery and Lucas.
"Where were you guys? Did you see Ten??" Kun ask
"It was Ten. and Hyejin." Hendery said
"Hyejin?! What happened to her?" Yanyang said very worried.
"She was on the floor. Passed out. Bleeding..." Lucas explained
"BLEEDING?" Xiaojun said
"Wait whos Hyejin?" Sungchan asked
"Our friend that was supposed to come." Winwin replied
"Is she alright?" Mark asked
All the other members also asking the same.
"Yes. We called the ambulance and they took her to the hospital. Ten is with her... they're on the way to the hospital." Hendery said
As I looked over and Yanyang I saw that he was silently crying.
I went over and hugged him.
Other members also doing the same and patting his back.
"Everything is gonna be fine. She's going to the hospital. They will take care of her there." Kun said
"I've been friends with her for five years. She's my best friend." He said sniffing up his nose.
"We've been practicing for long enough... let's go eat. Something to cheer us up. Yea?" Taeil suggested
We all agreed.
"Everyone go home and shower... I'll send the address after alright. Everyone get home safe" Taeil said. All the members shuffled out the practice too out of their buildings and into their group vans.

After everyone got ready to eat dinner together they met up at the restaurant. The members tried to comfort Yangyang and the rest of Wayv. They called Ten and asked of Hyejin's condition. He said that they were still operating and doing test but that she should be fine. The boys didn't really laugh and smile as the usually would together. The mood was cold and sad. It was obvious that Taeil regretted suggesting this dinner but he was trying to help and Yangyang knew it so they tried to lighten the mood. The Wayv boys told stories of how they met Hyejin. Her personality, how she likes to bake. How her grandparents are some the kindest people you could meet. How bright of a person she is. How her humor is perfect. But there was one thing that they did leave out.
She's black.
They didn't do it on purpose, they thought it shouldn't have mattered if she was so why mention it?
After the mood lightened up a bit and they talked about the stuff they normally would.
Laughing and having a good time, the dinner ended on a positive note.
They Wayv boys went to the hospital instead of going home and everyone else sent their best for Hyejin.
