⚠️ Trigger Warning//
It had been a few weeks since our last run in with Bunny and again, there had been no sign of her anywhere.
Jonah had gotten overly frustrated with the fact that she was in the wind once again and how she had it out for the both of us. I don't think he had been sober once those few weeks and it was getting me worried.
I had been stuck at home since the reveal party except for that day, I convinced Jonah to let me go shopping alone, with the security, to get my mother's birthday present for the next week.
I grabbed the present and the few groceries from Jonah's car before walking into the house with my hands somewhat full.
"Jonah! I'm back!" I shouted through out the house.
It was quiet. Jonah left the tv on, he never did that if he's gone to bed or something.
I placed the groceries on the kitchen counter and the present in the living room before heading up the stairs.
"Jonah?" I called out again before going into his room.
"Jonah!"
I raced into the room, seeing Jonah laying on the ground, unconscious. Tears instantly washed over my eyes as I placed a shaking hand on his throat to check for a pulse.
I felt it lightly press on my finger tips and I let out a shallow breath.
I raced into the pocket of my jeans, pulling out my phone, immediately calling 911.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"Um, my boyfriend is passed out on the ground, he's not responding" The phone shook against my ear, as I told the person on the phone our address.
"Is he breathing? I have an ambulance on
the way""He is, um" I looked around the room seeing Jonah's bag open. He was just getting a fix.
"I think he overdosed"
"On what?"
"I don't know"
The sound of sirens were heard flying down the street. Loud footsteps quickly entered the house as I hung up the phone.
I rubbed a thumb across Jonah's face as a show of comfort, mainly for myself.
"I need you to step away ma'am" A gentleman behind me said in a hurry.
I quickly jumped up, shoving Jonah's bag under the bed with my foot, trying to hide any evidence of what might've happened.
They placed Jonah on a stretcher and got him down the stairs. I followed close behind as I didn't want him to be alone.
They placed Jonah in the back of the ambulance before one of the men ran into the drivers seat. The man back with Jonah waved me in and pointed to a seat I could take.
The whole way to the hospital my eyes didn't leave Jonah, his lifeless body. That was my fault, I should've convinced him to get clean with me, I had been clean since the party at that time.
When we got to the hospital, I was told to wait in the waiting room until they had an update.
My shaking body didn't let me say anything, all I could do was follow orders and hope for the best.
I sat on a chair away from most other people waiting, and I dialled Sophia's number. My nerves got the best of me and I continued to shake, not once getting a break from the tears
