Fiasco

Chapter 18

i spoke to luke about ivan's engagement and our history and if he could help me with something, luke being luke helped me without a doubt or second thought. luke stayed over the night and slept in the guest room. while luke was sleeping i made a few calls and got some arrangements done for me and luke.

i woke up around 11 am and saw luke playing some video games and we got "step 1"  done and we made a cake to bring to the party as a congratulations gift and i took a picture of luke standing behind me helping me whisk the eggs and posted it, my comments immediately got flooded with comments about ivan and how i was a bitch for playing with ivan, god if i still didn't love him i would've told everyone what really happened.

we went out to get my dress and lukes suit, i wore a wine red fairytale dress to outshine audra and luke wore a black suit with wine red accents so we would match, we put the clothes on in the shop to make sure the fitting was right,

luke: "huh we look good coupled together like this"
y/n: "hm you're right who knows what might happen by the end of tonight"

i grabbed his tie to pull him closer and whispered it to him and stared into his eyes, knowing that paparazzi was outside taking pictures and uploading them.

we got home and started getting ready i was doing my hair and makeup and luke was getting ready, my mum came into my room to see how i was.

mum: "luke are you matching with my daughter?"
luke: "yes ma'am y/n asked me!"
mum: "y/n, sweetie are you sure you wanna do this?
y/n: "do what?"
mum: "it doesn't take a genius to realise your trying to get people to believe your dating luke just so you can make ivan jealous, maybe ivan's not good enough for you, don't waste your time on him."

i played with my fingers and started at the floor, my mum stared at me for a while before walking out to the cafe. was it really worth all this just because of ivan? i wasn't necessarily doing this for ivan more to make ivan hurt, what am i doing?

luke: "hey y/n you ready we need to be there in 40 minutes."
y/n: "yeah head to the car i just need to put my shoes on!"

i got into the car with the cake and laughed and enjoyed the car ride with luke, we pulled up to the venue and my god, audra really went all out, it was a massive mansion almost like a castle with water fountains, carriages everything from a fairytale

i stepped out and tightly linked with luke's arm, we entered and it was beautiful, although audra might not be my favourite person she sure knows how to throw a party. i saw emilio and he came running to me and hugged me.

emilio: "y/n!! i haven't seen you in so long i've missed you!"
y/n: "me too emilio."
emilio: "not to make things awkward but you're at ivan's engagement party..."
y'n: "i'm not in love with him."
emilio: "oh, well besides that you look like a princess."
y/n: "thank you kind sir, well i must be off duty calls."

he ironically bowed and i chuckled as i walked off, the music started to die down and the massive door swung open, ivan and audra were going to enter. i made sure to stand at the front with luke and lay my head on his shoulder while intertwining fingers with him.

they entered in and they both looked amazing, audra wore a stunning gold dress and ivan wore white suit with a gold tie, stupid thinking i would ever be able to outshine audra who practically leeches off ivan's money. they walked in and greeted everyone, they came up to me an luke.

audra: "y/n!! suprised you showed up." she chuckled and stuck her hand out to see her gorgeous ring.
y/n: "congratulations both of you, i wish you guys the best."
ivan: "and luke's here? he wasn't invited."
y/n: " oh sorry if that's a problem just that lukes always there for me and i brought him as a date."

i could feel ivan's eyes burning into luke, i grabbed luke's arm and walked off. a few hours later everyone was dancing and a slow dance song came on, this was perfect, i put my arms around lukes shoulder and he gripped onto my waist and pulled me close out faces were inches away from each other but from the corner of my eye i could see audra and ivan dancing intimately and kissing.

i pulled away from luke and said i needed the bathroom i walked out of ballroom and sat on a bench in the botanical garden, i started sobbing, what was i doing, as if i could ever win ivan back, he doesn't want me back what more can i do. i heard footsteps and assumed it was luke.

y/n: "i'm fine luke don't worry."
luke?: "it's not luke."

i turned around and saw ivan standing there he walked towards me and took seat next to me...
