JIN POV

Deep in the dark pits of hell, there is a city where all people cursed, sick, or just downright insane spend their afterlife. Me, I'm a human who created sins in the world. Entering here, I turned into a demon.

"Jin, you ready," one of my friends said.

We both walked out to the center hall, all new humans who were waiting in purgatory who were sentenced to hell.

"I hope we don't have anyone crazy," my friends said.

"Crazy, this place feeds off crazy. If anything, we need more people like this," I said.

The gates of hell opened, and people began gathering in. Our job, take their name in the sacred scroll and let them be on their way. In hell, you don't get home. You have to either fight or make one.

"Name," I said as I wrote down the names of the people walking by.

"Jin," someone called out.

I look up and see a demon lady, her skin covered with the demon skin and long hair. Her eyes were glowing bloodlust red.

"What do you we have here," I asked.

"This is Lisa. She's a special girl, a hellhound," they explained.

Hellhounds are unique. They are a rare breed. Hellhounds started way before the earth was created. It is believed that hell and heaven were two separate worlds and that the hellhounds were the first people of hell. When hell and heaven collided to create the earth, the arks of heaven and the hellhounds of the underneath fought for supremacy over the world. The arks won and subjugated the hellhounds, all but one. That one hellhound from legend secretly has been keeping the hellhound inheritance till now. The people on earth don't know that they're hellhounds till they die.

"Okay, follow me, Lisa," I said.

I walked over to an area, deep down—a room with a table and a book.

"You're a hellhound," I said.

Lisa didn't say anything. She just looked around the room.

"You don't want to talk, fine," I said.

"So this is what hell looks like, is there any way I can escape," she asked.

That had me chuckling.

"No, no, you don't just escape this place. This is Satan's domain," I said.

"There has to be someway," she said.

"No, Lisa, now, place your hand on this book," I said.
