Jaymies POV
"I gave you a key for emergencies Mase" I rolled my eyes as I walked into the apartment to the view of Mason, Christian, Tammy and Ben all on my sofa playing fifa.
"It was an emergency, we ran out of batteries for the remotes" Mase responded, his eyes glued to the tv screen.
"Right , my bad" I replied and grabbed myself the dinner I made earlier out of the fridge and plonked myself on the sofa.
"Come in ref!" Tammy shouted at the screen.
"That wasn't a foul" I laughed. "You're dreaming"
"Thank you" Ben said . "Sore loser Tammy?"
"Whatever" Tammy rolled his eyes, threw the remote on the coffee table and walked into my kitchen.
"I think I need a drink too after today" Mase laughed and followed Tammy into my kitchen.
"Ah, give me a minute guys" Christian said as his phone rang, he excused himself and walked outside to my balcony.
"How comes you're back so late from work?" Ben made conversation.
"Thought you knew by now I don't just massage feet for a living" I chuckled. "I was analysing a few matches for the next couple weeks , making sure all the notes are up to date and then I helped the washing ladies with the kits and locked up"
"Surely other people can do that? You're head physio" he shrugged .
"That's what it says on my contract , not what I actually do" I laughed out of pity for myself.
"Want a beer?" He asked him as I handed him one before he even answered. I poured myself a wine.
"You've got a nice place" Ben tried to make conversation as he looked around my apartment.
"Compared to your guys' houses its nothing" I half laughed.
"It's homely here though"
"Guess that's why the guys are always round here" I said. "And the fact I have beer and batteries"
There was a moment of silence between Ben and I. We seem to keep having these silences, where both of us want to say something . But nothing comes out.
"Your ankle is swollen" I pointed out. Great way to break the silence.
"I can't remember the last time it wasn't"
"Well , have you been doing the exercises I have been telling you to do"
"Well..." he began.
"Ben!" I exclaimed. "You're never going to leave my office at this point if you don't do the exercises I told you about"
"What if I don't want to leave your office" he winked.
"Gross" I pretended the throw up "and your feet are making my office have a weird smell"
"Oh have it off" he chuckled back.
The rest of the guys returned to the sofas and continued their intense fifa matches,
"Oi Jaymie! Bens having a Halloween party next weekend , you should come" Mason said, I saw him then wink at Ben.
"Yeah it's nothing fancy" Ben said.
"Nothing fancy?" Tammy laughed. "It's the talk of the football world at the moment" he added.
"So everyone is going to be there?" I asked.
"Yeah , most of the guys are coming down for it as well"
"Then I'm alright"
"Oh come on J" Mason nudged me. "This is the whole reason Ben is having this party , so he can impress you" he teased. I looked over to Ben who's face was a light shade of pink.
