At least once a week Tyler would visit his grave and talk to charles. Hes seen a few other spirits around but none of them ever stopped to say more then a hello before going on their way again.

He was getting ready to head back home now hed been here a few hours already. "I'll see you soon." Tyler said, giving charles a small wave. Charles sent one back and he was on his way. He needed to go check up on dix and make sure he was doing Okay at the house.

As he was nearing the house he seen dix walking down the road, he looked angry. "Where are you going?" He asked, walking beside dix. Dix was looking down at his phone as he walked. Tyler looked over dixs shoulder at what he was doing.

He seen dixs messages open on Gordon's. Someone had recently paid gordons bail and now gordon wanted to see dix. "Dix no. Go back to the house. Lock the door." Tyler said. Dix kept walking.

"Dont be stupid. Are you trying to get hurt?" Tyler asked. Dix shoved the phone into his pocket and angrily kept walking. "Dix turn around." Tyler said, setting his hand on dixs arm to try to stop him.

It didnt work. "Turn around." He said moving to stand in front of dix. Dix just walked right through him. Tyler sighed heavily. "Dix!" He yelled frustratedly. Dix stopped for a moment and turned around. His eyes shifted over the street which was empty besides him.

He furrowed his eyebrows then kept walking. "Dix go home!" Tyler yelled, he was starting to panic. He didnt want dix to get hurt. He didnt want Gordon to hurt dix like he had hurt him. He knew Gordon's way of thinking and knew he was either gonna beat the living shit out of dix or force dix into fighting. Tyler wanted neither for the boy.

"DIX STOP!" Tyler screamed in panic, as he seen Gordon's van pull up at the end of the street and park. Dix stopped and looked around again, his breaths heavy as his eyes shifted around. "Tyler?" He whispered.

Dix swallowed thickly and took another step forward but hesitated. He looked up to see gordon looking at him through the window of the van. Gordon's face was stern. "Come on dix dont be stupid.. dont get in the van." Tyler begged.

Dix took another hesitant step forward when Gordon motioned for him to come on with a finger. He stopped though and nervously chewed on his lip. "Come on dix.. run home. Teleport home.. teleport to mommas. Just dont get in that van. Please." Tyler whispered.

Dix slowly took a step backwards. "That's it.. come on." Tyler said. Dix took another as gordon rolled down the window. "Get in dix." He said. Dix took a shaky breath but continued to walk backwards slowly.

Gordon sighed irritably and shifted gears before starting to drive towards dix. Dixs eyes widened and he turned, quickly starting to run back towards the house. Tyler looked to the ground and seen a sizable rock.

He picked it up and threw it at Gordon's van, completely shattering the windshield and making Gordon slam on the breaks. Dix glanced back when he heard the glass shatter and the squeal of the breaks but kept running back home.

"You stay away from him." Tyler said after he had walked over to Gordon's van where gordon was freaking out about his smashed windshield. "You better stay away from him. If you ever hurt him I swear.. I'll find a way to kill you." Tyler said before turning and heading to the house.

Dix was in the house when he got there. He had all the doors and windows locked and was hiding in his bedroom closet. Tyler sat next to him on the floor of his closet. "You're okay. I wont let him hurt you." Tyler said.

Dix was shaking. "I-im sorry Tyler... I'm sorry." He whispered. "Stay away from him.. please stay away from him.. block his number." Tyler said. Dix sniffled and chewed his lips anxiously.

He jumped when there was banging on the door and hugged his knees. "Hey it's okay. You're safe." Tyler said. Dixs breaths were panicked. Tyler pursed his lips and spotted dixs phone sitting on the floor beside him so he grabbed it and slid it onto dixs lap making the boy look down at it.

He sniffled and picked it up, looking at it for a moment before unlocking it and calling Josh. "Good boy dix." Tyler whispered. 'Dix what's going on bud?" Josh asked when he answered. "I did something bad. I'm scared." Dix sniffled.

"What did you do?" Josh asked, trying to stay calm. "I-Gordon messaged and I was gonna meet him but-but I changed my mind and ran home but he-now hes banging on the door. I'm scared Josh." Dix rushed out.

Josh took a minute to take in the information. "Okay where are you right now?" He asked. "Hiding in my closet." Dix replied. "Okay take some deep breaths okay? Calm down a bit. Did you lock the doors?" Josh asked.

"Yes." Dix replied before trying to steady his breathing. "Okay. Dont move from the closet. He'll go away eventually." Josh replied. "What if hes still here when you get home? I-I dont want you to get hurt." Dix sniffled.

"I'll call the cops to head to the house okay? I'll get them to check things out and let them know wher you are okay? Just stay where you are. I'll get them to go to you." Josh said. "Okay.... I'm sorry josh.. i- I'm sorry. I dont know what i was thinking." Dix said.

"Its okay. Just breathe buddy. You'll be okay. Nothings gonna hurt you." Josh said. "Okay..." dix whispered. "I'm gonna hang up.. stay in your closet." Josh said. "Okay." Dix replied before Josh said goodbye and hung up.

Dix sniffled and hugged his knees again, his shoulders tensing when he heard gordon banging on the door and yelling again. "You're safe dix. I'm right here." Tyler whispered, wrapping his arms around dix.

He could feel dix start to relax slightly so he didnt move until he heard the commotion outside when the police showed up. Dix lifted his head and sniffled softly. When Josh had called them he told the officers where the spare key was so they could get inside to make sure dix was okay.

He had told them about the previous conflict with gordon which they were already aware of and they were quickly on the way especially since Tyler ended up dead because of him. A few minutes after the police arrived the door to dixs closet opened.

Dix looked up at the officer. "Hey are you okay?" The officer asked. She was a shortish lady with brown hair and kind eyes. Dix sniffled and nodded slightly. "Come on out. Hes not gonna hurt you." She said.

Dix carefully crawled out of the closet and pushed himself to his feet. ".. is he going back to jail?" Dix asked. "When we find him." She said. ".. where is he?" Dix asked. "He ran off. Well find him though. You dont have to worry. We'll be keeping an eye on the house until hes caught okay?" She asked.

Dix nodded but pursed his lips. "Are you sure you're okay? Are you hurt at all?" She asked. "I'm just scared." Dix replied. The officer smiled sadly and rubbed his back. "You want me to stay with your until you're father gets home?" She asked.

"You mean josh?" Dix asked. "We got a call from a guy saying his kid was in danger.. is josh your dad?" She asked. Dix thought about it for a moment. "I guess so yeah... hes not my birth father though.. I dont know who that is." He said. She smiled softly. "Do you want me to stay until he gets home?" She asked.

Dix nodded. "Yes please." He whispered. "Alright well my name is officer Mackay..  you can call me Ray or raylene though." She said. Dix nodded and followed her downstairs. Tyler went with them.

Dix cautiously walked over to the window and looked out. "Its okay.. your father wanted me to ask if youve eaten today?" Ray asked. "Oh um just breakfast. Havent had lunch yet." Dix said. "You should eat lunch." Ray said.

Dix hummed. "Can you make me something? I'm not good at making food." Dix said. "Sure bud. Show me where the kitchen is." Ray smiled. Dix smiled back and led the way.

Ray ended up making dix some mac and cheese. Dix thanked her and sat at the table to eat it. He told her she could have some if she wanted but she respectfully declined.

Tyler sat on the counter watching the two as they talked. Tyler was kind of mad at himself. If he didnt leave to go to his grave he could have stopped dix from messaging gordon at all or even leaving the house.

Tyler sighed and looked away, fiddling with a rubber band on the counter next to him as he got lost in his thoughts. He was stretching it in between two of his fingers absentmindedly. When the band suddenly flew out of his grip and smacked ray in the face he snapped out of his thoughts and cringed.

"What the-" ray asked, picking up the rubber band that had just flew at her face. Dix pressed his lips together. "Stuff like that happens sometimes." Dix said. "What rubber bands flying around without a source?" Ray laughed.

"Just like weird things without explanation." Dix shrugged. "Hm.. a ghost maybe?" Ray asked. Dix shrugged again. "Are ghosts real?" He asked. "I think so yeah." Ray replied. ".. do you think Tyler's a ghost?" Dix asked.

"Tyler that's.. Josh's partner right? The one that had conflict with Gordon first?" Ray asked. Dix nodded. "Gordon killed him... do you think hes a ghost now?.. do you think... that hes been doing the weird stuff?" Dix asked.

"Possibly. I know either way hes protecting you." Ray said. Dix smiled softly before it faded. "I hate Gordon." He whispered. "Considering the last time we were here because of him you had beaten the shit out of him I'd guess you do." Ray said.

"I was gonna do it again but... I could hear Tyler telling me not to.. I'm not sure if I imagined it or not but I know hed be upset if i went through with it." Dix said. "That could have been him trying to protect you. He would know how bad Gordon is. I'm sure he wouldnt want you getting involved with him." Ray said.

Dix looked at his food and nodded. "I'm sorry for being stupid and making you guys come here." He said. "Hey no dont apologize. Dont beat yourself up over this kid. You did nothing wrong." Ray said. Dix nodded but he knew that none of this would have happened if he ignored Gordon's text.

(I cant wait for you guys to see what I have planned for this. I think you're gonna love it cause i do)
