CHAPTER 1 / ZANE CALLISTO

A/N'S POV

It's another great day for the Solace family, well everyday is a great day for them since they always spend their time together even tho their just 3 of them in a small family.

"Will I get to play volleyball with you again mom, dad?" A 15 years old Elaine asked her parents.

Ava Solace and Eris Solace have one daughter named Elaine Solace, they pampered her with love and care and always been payed attention since she's the only child.

"Ofcourse dear, we're going to spend all of our time with you" Ava cupped her cheek and planted kisses on her forehead

"That's right!" Eris added

That made Elaine burst into joy and cheered loudly. Eris and Ava smiled as they were thinking they have a perfect family.

ELAINE'S POV

I was very happy when my parents agreed to play volleyball with me, I'm just filled with joy everytime I'm with them.

"Elaine!"

My heart pumped fastly and look everywhere, only to see an idiot Zane peeking on my window.

I don't have curtains in my room cause we're poor and our house is made out of wood. Anyways, Zane Callisto is my childhood bestfriend..he's funny, annoying, and sweet simultaneously. Weird right?

My parents knew we were friends and they don't have to think some weird stuff between me and Zane cause they already trusted him.

I walk on the door and opened it for him "Elaineee looking goodd!" He welcomed me with a tight hug and it was so tight like he's gonna kill me right now

"Z-zane I-I c-cant--"

He notice it and pulled from the hug "sorry"

I sheepishly smiled and told him to come inside. "So..I heard you're going to study in Bürksten University, is that true?" He asked and I slightly nod

He frowned and look away "Guess were gonna be far from each other"

I laughed and smacked his arm "It's fine silly! I'm gonna visit here every weekends" He smiled and hug me again.

Dad called us because we're gonna play volleyball and we decided to let Zane join us so it will be two teams, boys vs girls.

I catch my breath cause the game was very exhausting, but we won anyways so it's worth it.

"Hey Elaine"  Zane entered the room and sat on the bed beside me "Yes?"

"I have to go home, it's 5:34 and I still have to do some schoolworks, I'll see you soon okay? Take care of yourself, I'll be sending letters for you" He kissed my forehead and left quickly, not even wanting to hear my words.

But I already knew that he felt sad that I'll be far away from him starting tomorrow.

ZANE'S POV

I was walking home, preventing myself not to cry. Well, how can I not cry that the person I love is going to be away from me.

Yes, I love Elaine. I just can't tell her how I feel cause obviously I'm scared of rejection and turns out our friendship is really going well so I might don't wanna break that. What a coward me. But it's fine hiding my feelings for her, at least we can still spend time together.

I knock the door and mom opened it, her sweet, caring face changed into a worried one as soon as she saw me frowning. "What's wrong dear?"

I smiled fakely and shook my head "Nothing mom, I'm just hungry"

She smiled and pat my head "Come on in, I'll serve your food" she place her hand on my waist and guided me to the dining table.

"If you're in love with someone, be true to them and express your feeling. There's nothing wrong of being true to yourself, always remember that" She suddenly said that for no reason.

I blink many times and thought that maybe mom is a mind reader.

A/N'S POV

Elaine was packing her things now, her parents rented an appartment for her in London since she have to stay there during class days and she'll be going back to her hometown by weekends.

"I'll miss you dear" Ava kissed her forehead
"Me too" Eris hugged her

Elaine got emotional and teared up "I'm gonna visit you every weekends okay? And I'll send letters for you" she hugged her parents and smiled

"Alright enough of this drama" Ava pulled off and wiped her tears only to see a swollen eyes

"This is for your own good Elaine and I know that you'll gonna pass thru this" Eris smiled

Elaine nod her head and sat on the chair "Okay let's eat"

They started eating and chit chatting over some things to distract theirself from crying

Morning came by and Elaine was now ready for her new chapter.

She comb her long, light copper hair and wore a simple dress. She isn't like the others who are very fabulous and very lady-like. She's just different among the others.

"Take care okay?" Her mom said while standing on the door "Relationship is still a no for me Elaine, always remember that" Eris added

Elaine just laughed and nodded "I'll miss both of you" she ran towards them and hug them for the last time.

She pulled of and started walking away, she turned around and waved her hand on them before walking off.
