The Dorms

Hailey POV

I slowly opened my eyes, then sat up my bed. At least now, I finally had at least a less unsettling dream than previously.

I looked at the other occupied bed, only to see Milly still asleep. I got up, then shuffled my way to her.

"Hey, Milly, wake up."

Milly groaned. "...I don't want to."

"I'll tell Elliot you like him." I said loudly in a calm, brisk tone.

She shot her eyes open, then gave me a deathly glance. "Try to, and I'll burn you to a crisp."

"Isn't a guardian supposed to help others?"

Milly laughed awkwardly. "Yeah, I know. That was just a joke. Igh't, I'm up! Wait, did I iron my uniform last night?" She went to the hanger, only to nod in approval as she saw the well ironed sweater and pants. "I call shower first."

"Hey! I'm the one who woke you up!"

"Yeah, says the one who orders nightmares daily."

"It's not like I want to have nightmares daily!"

"Okay, okay, jeez." Milly grinned at me.

It's been three days since Milly claimed her element. When Headmistress Rosy announced that Milly was a chosen guardian, everyone was in shock. Escpecially Zoey.

"WHAT?! You're saying that music freak wannabe is one of the chosen guardians?! Lies! Just because you claimed your element doesn't mean you can just simply imply that you are a guardian! The mark's probably fake!" Zoey screamed like a banshee.

"Zoey, please remain silent. Me and V.P Rai ourselves witnessed her getting claimed. We can't oppose that fact." Headmistress Rosy argued back.

"Oh really? Then why don't you show your so-called mark, Milly?"

Milly let out a sigh, then removed the gloves, only to reveal the mark.

"That looks pretty legit to me." A student crossed her arms.

"Wha- but- that's-" I took a moment for Zoey to gather her thoughts. "That's- NO! I WILL NOT ACCEPT MILLY TO ALSO BE A GUARDIAN!"

Zoey raged for a while, then was calmed down by Drew.
